12/06/09 - 2/06/10= 8 weeks!

Welcome Farm, this Sat I finally hit the 8th week of my first mediocre run with the Bubba Kush. (Round 1) :evilgrin

When I chose this cut I was told it was just 'Bubba Kush' homie wasn't too sure though.. after checking out other BK (S1, Pre98, Katsu cut.) grows and pics I'm not really sure if I have the regular cut or one of the above? I'm saying this because I noticed purple on a lot of the leaves and the yellowish/green fading of the plants. Although, I could be wrong... IMVHO, from what I've seen resemble the cuts mentioned above. hopefully you guys can tell from the pics which Bubba cut I'm holding... But it is Bubba.

In other news...

I've been so caught up on Round 2 and my mother plants, I wasn't really keeping an eye on my 2 ladies in bloom.

Yesterday I noticed a foul smell coming from the bottom of the pots or tray. So immediately I pulled them out and washed out the tote/tray they're in.
At this point I was thinking.... Is it the Molasses? or could it be some Root Rot? all I know is that it didn't smell right, so I went ahead and flushed them out with 2 gallons of avid ph'd water in the tub, let them drain out and put em back under the 400. (first time I've ever flushed them)
Now I'm confused as to whether or not to move forward with the flushing or one more feed of;

10ml Tiger Bloom
15ml Big Bloom
1/4-1/2 tsp Cha-Ching
And then flush??

Honestly I was down to keep them in there another week, but if I messed up by flushing them out yesterday, then I'll just keep going and harvest?

We'll see what happens.. I'll keep you guys posted.

Thanks been, I've been watching them with a 30mm photographer's loop.. just waiting bro... I think 70 days is enough, from what I've read on harvesting BK. One more flush and...:harvest:

Man it's a toss up. Bubba is one that is known for not stretching all that much. Its a real short and stocky plant. It will purp up big time. Also a VERY heavy feeder. Smells of coffee or incense. Little Golf ball Nugs everywhere. OG and that group takes on more of the stretchiness.

None the less looks damn good. Bet it smokes even better.:rauch08:

I'm glad you brought this up tho, By 'toss up' I'm guessing you mean, it's not a Bubba... Right?

IMHO, I think the stretching came from not giving at least 2-4 weeks of the proper vegging, pruning and training, not to mention the use of CFL's in the beginning... I also want to point out I made the mistake of feeding nutrients too early in the game, more N than P K... I should have waited 35/45 days before adding more nutes like SmokeMan said earlier in this thread...

What I want to figure out, is which CUT of the BK am I holding?

This is how my BK mom looks now... My first BK moms got to be over 4 feet tall! :surprised LOL

End of Round 1

3/04/10

This marks the end of the 1st Round with this cut of the BK.

Final dry weight was 46.2 g out of 52.2 g

Hung them up for 6 days paper bagged for another 5-6 days been Jar curing for about a week ½ already… I’ll be curing for 30-40 days.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve medicated a little here and there and it does the job right. As far as taste and smell goes… I’ll smoke a BL, walk out the room, then I walk back in to smell that dankness in the room; IMHO it just doesn’t have that taste yet. (Unless you’re hitting greens) this is where the curing process is the most important... But I don't need to tell you guys that.
