Amber I just have to say you and your other half have really got things rockin, very impressive. I always knew you two had something beautiful hidden behind some doors and I for one want to thank you for sharing... We are fairly close to flip dates. Maybe we need to plan a harvest BBQ or something. Even if we aren't in the same state we share the same sun, moon and stars so why can't we share a harvest BBQ? You can even wear your boots... ;)

Hell yeah I was pretty stoked about the close flip dates also. I am feeling a bit unorganized compared to what your doing over there and been so ridiculously busy with who knows what. I love a BBQ though sounds like a date. Check out this fortune cookie my man got the other day.

You know I had never actually thought about it but since you mention it I do beleive that the smallest plants in the last run there were the plants closest to the burner. However our burner took a dump and we had to send it back to the manufacturer for revamping so we did not have a burner for a couple weeks in there.

So it's written in the stars then. Who are we to fight it? It looks like we bbq with the full moon.. It sure looks from this side that you two have things all under control. What strain are you running in there? I can't wait to see those girls in their prime...

I think we have mostly double barrel OG with some regular OG and 2 Platinum Girl Scouts (they are runts, and probably the oldest also they just don't grow)

Forget about method sevens and get a good pair of welding goggle. They cover all your eyes. Method sevens are good for color, but offer minimal protection.

I have a pair of the Method Sevens, I think they're pretty kick ass, stopped my headaches I was getting from the 2 1k's I was running in hoods with glass. But I can understand the statement about not fully protecting.... just like regular sunglasses, there is a bit of gap to let light in around the frames, but nothing too bad IMO....

Get the right tool for the job. In the case of bright rooms with lots of glare, get good quality sunglasses designed for bright outdoor environments. They should be UVA UVB proof and they should be polarized. Don't settle for less. I've checked out method seven, and I felt they did not provide enough protection from the light, just a color correction.

WOW. If anything, you're a bit late into bloom, unless that strain is really a non stretcher.. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

A few basic questions; what nutrient strength do you use, what do you run your temps and rh at, and how often do you change your nutrients and water? Do you top up with both nutrients and water between change outs? What kind of schedule do you use?

I'm impressed with the overall lushness of the plants, throughout the grows you've shared. I'm trying to get a handle on how you do that so well and consistently.

Well we use different strength nutes for different weeks right now we are at day 10 sitting at 400ppms ph 5.6. Temps 82 try to get the rh to 60 but usually about 50-55, 1500 ppms of CO2 but decreasing CO2 and increasing nutes as we go. We change the water out around once a week depending on how the plants are. Yes we top up with hot 600-700 ppms if not plants eat about 100ppms a night. We don't really use a schedule.

So if I read this correctly, you're topping up with a hotter nutrient mix than what the plants are sitting in- this is a fascinating idea, one I hadn't considered. Even so, you still do a complete nutrient changeout every week? In addition to the hot top up?

I think this is very interesting. So of course you deliberately start off too weak. How do you manage this over the course of the week- or, do you change out so you don't have to?

See, I'm about to fire up two zones at once here, each with the upgrade 27 gallon tub x four sites per zone. Soon, I'll have vertical bare bulbs. The chiller is back, it just needs a 240V circuit and water lines.

The chill is in the air, time to get crankin'!

I have 2 reservoirs that I can use for the top off one is a hundred gallons and the other is fifty. I also have the option of using just straight ro water if needed. I just watch my plants and the ppms and attach which ever I feel is best either the top off hose or the ro hose. Normally I use the 50 gallon to top off and keep the 100 gallon to fill and make the change out water in then when the top off is used up I fill that also for the change out and that pretty much fills my system. I don't necessarily start with a weaker ppm the goal is to keep that ppm and the plants drink about 100ppms a night so the top off should just keep it where its at.
