Lol sorry but I dont know why that was said. I have both also and you can absolutely and in your case should and mustuse them. I can see if it was just municipal tap water with no softener then you wouldn't need to but anyhow you do so here we go.

Take RO/RODI and add 100-150ppm of cal mag this should be about half the recommended dose.

Then add nutrients at 2.5ml per gal of each. Add half dose of terminator and drop the purpinator you have no need for it or its magical unicorn claims.

Then ph down to 5.8 and feed 1 litre to each plant. You want to get 100-200ml coming out as run off of THAT 1 litre. If you get less feed until you get runoff and increase the frequency of watering.

Right now I would 1-2 times perr day and see from there. It's explained in the thread I linked.

I'm off to bed and may not be on for a while so hopefully someone else can pick up if ya need now that the issue was found.

I would get no run off with a liter. When I water I put half a gallon in then the other half and get no runoff with the first half gallon.

Ok, so this is my third grow and once again I’m having the same issue. I can’t seem to not get a calcium deficiency. I put in 5ml of calmag per gallon with every single feed. The plants look great but it’s still happening. Attached are my girls just going into flower. Is there anything else I can add to help this issue?

I had similar problems then i swapped to nectar of the gods nutrient line and since it's a calcium based nute line I don't have that problem anymore and no others, it's an organic line! Try it you will love it if you have calcium problems! Keep it Green!

Ya, going organic would be a long process since I would have to start cooking the soil now to do it in a year.

What PPM is your tap water? If your putting in 2ml of Calmag per feed, then you don't have a Calmag problem.

273... I started using RO water now and it’s at 18. Do I still need to use prime since I have chloramines in Kansas City’s water or does the RO remove them?

Nope no prime needed. If you water with 1 litre and get no run off that means you need to water more often until when you add 1 litre you get the runoff of 100-200ml.

I understand this is a pain in the ass and you may not be able to but the more your diet and let the coco dry between watering the more of an issue it will become

His tap water goes through a water softener. 273ppm of sodium... personally im 99% positive thats was the reason for all of his previous issues. And we all know coco will exchange K and Ca for sodium so the media coupled with the softener had him doomed from the start.

273ppm is ok water to feed your plants, I feed mine on 265 from my tap, I drop it to PH 6.0 and add nuits all the way up to my plants limits, job done.

That's where I would start, before the softner, think it was you that said to dilute the tap water with RO if taps to hard, if its not gone through the softner. At work, so trying to pop in and out as a break from paper work.

Yeah absolutely the way to go imo. If he can get it before the softener and mix with RO to reach 100-150ppm starting water its less wasteful and usually provides a good buffer.

I’m just using the RO now and it’s at 18 TDS. If I don’t need prime with the RO. I would have been doing this the whole damn time. It’s crazy. They veg amazing then boom.... issues. Same thing all three grows. So doing the one gallon per pot per day is to much? It was coming out at like 20% run off and doing amazing so that’s what I have been doing the whole time.

No its not to much but its not often enough for ideal fertigation. Better to do 1 litre 4 times a daybif you can.

But always do it until I get 20% runoff? My nutes with the RO are only like 400 PPM.

You can do it that way if need be... im just giving advice on the ideal method to water coco. By doing it more frequently it will provide a more stable ph, ppm and moisture level. This will reduce any risks of related issues the most. But by no means am I claiming you will have issues if you do it daily... just a higher risk. Now if you were in 1 gal pots doing daily watering start to finish of a grow I could almost promise you would have issues but your not

How do you guys devote two hours a day to watering? Maybe I should switch to advanced nutrients coco. Take the calcium, ph and time out of it.

Should I be good with the 560 ppm at this stage?

Ok, so it took three liters to get it to runoff at 20%.
