can i start my seeds under t12s?

can i vegg plants under t12s? i just ordered and recited some seeds from attitude but now im strapped for cash and cant get the hid i wanted but i have 2 t12s could i vegg them under this till next month when i have the money to get hid? one time i grew some regular seeds under t12s and it worked fine but i dont want to risk it with these pricey seeds :worried

I use t12's to veg with no problems besides they can get a little hot compared to the other floros. Just make sure the bulbs are plant lights. Should be 6500k for veg. I get mine at Home Depot.

I stick my sprouts and seedlings straight under a 400W hps with no problem. You just need to keep a close eye on them as to growth and drying out and set your lamp at the right height throughout this stage. Its all i ever use is HPS.
