I am testing grow more's sea grow right now side by side against my cns17 routine and so far the results are impressive . i think the overall health of the plants are just a tad better than the cns , final judgement is pending lab testing and smoke testing of course . sea grow is a one part soluble powder and i think my total cost for the full run of one beds will be around $20...

grow more is good stuff so far even the mother like the all purpose sea grow ...

next run i will test the jack's too ..

cheers

For those who are about jack's like I am, and are using hydroponics....check out the new formula called "hydro herb" it's a one bag mix vs the "hydro"+"cal nitrate" that i've been using.

The technician @ JR peters claims it's formula is been researched for years and is in her opinion much better then using the separate mixes. It is to still be used with the blossom booster during flower.

Just some info for those of you who might be interested :) I know i'm getting ready to switch and give it a shot...even though I have close to 15lb's of each bag left!

For anyone who might have troubles locating it.

Jack’s Professional 16-4-17 Hydro Herb
Cutting edge formula that provides all the macro, secondary and micronutrients in a balanced blend. Designed specially for hydroponically grown herbs (basil, cilantro, chives, parsley etc.) as well as lettuce and most vegetables. Includes our proprietary blend of iron chelates that keeps iron available even as the pH varies up to a high of 8.0. Also contains a significant level of soluble calcium and magnesium, for an all around balance of plant nutrition.

No problem! I currently am using Jack's Professional Blossom Booster 10-30-20 because it was suggested by the technician at the time when I ordered.

Also if you anybody who foliar feeds they have a great product so I hear called "Jack's Professional Foliar Feed" I've yet to try it but will be ordering it together with the hydro herb. -.-

I read this thread but I did not see where you guys talked about how you are dosing. Are you using a scale? Sorry if this has been addressed earlier. Thanks

Thank you so much. Can you please explain a little more about when you use the booster and what ratios? Do you cut back all the Jacks and or CaNo3 at that time?

Again thank you for the information.

Ill order the new formula and the bloom booster and try them together. Ill try and figure out the elemental ppm ratios after I can see the application rates. The one part would mix up very easy!

Im excited about trying this new mix! Its interesting that they say the bloom mix was popular in the 1950's...

The citric acid for PH down is cool. Ill pick some of that up too with my order. It wont added or change the ppm of the N or P like GH PH down or Technoflora PH down!

Yes we are talking about salts being weighed out on a scale.

imagine a narration by Charleton Heston

hell back in my day we didnt use any any fancy smancy nutrients in a bottle - we used worm shit, bat shit, bone meal and maybe some dead fish and crabs ground up into the bed and we loved it!

so did the plants - 3-4 pounders of donkey dicks all day

For the people using Jack's in Coco and/or Sunshine 4/promix, what are you adjusting your ph to? 6.5 or 5.7?

Can the jacks be use with tap? My tap water is about 240 ppm npk on the jacks is about the same as the maxibloom a bit different but I would get more bang for my buck if I got the big bag of jacks....Was wondering if any one knows if it would do well with tap water?
