BEAUTIFUL work, Chobble. I found that if the plants get big, the roots will grow at least a few inches through the bottom of the SP. Mine are always on the dirt, so it's no big deal. I find they go through a lot more water than the plants in the wooden raised beds.

I asked about the milk because of the reading I've been doing on raw milk applications to plants, diluted to around 10%. I bought some last week to begin experimenting with. At $15/gal, it's a lot cheaper than a lot of other products we throw at our girls. I've also started using Sea-90 this year at the rate of 1T/gal as a foliar solution. It's helping the cannabis and other plants with Ca uptake and utilization, as evidenced most strikingly with my Yugoslavian finger squash and Roma tomatoes, as those were showing blossom end rot from the beginning of fruit set.

Yeah we use Raw goat milk on our tomatoes up at the CASFA. It really is the best thing, keeps the mold away even with thick fog hitting them daily up till about 1. I really want to get some though. PM isnt to much of a worry for me honestly I have it and its a bitch to get rid of all of it.

Jeez... why didn't I think about raw goat milk? Thing is, we can't find it raw, only cow's milk and it's in high demand around here. Doesn't make much sense, we ought to have more locals running dairy cows, seems to me.

Well the only way I get it is through a proffesor at the university who doesnt mind selling it as dog food. Unpasturized Goat Milk is actually really regulated and the licenses to produce it are very exspensive ($25,000) making it so that most dairy's cant produce it and won't bother having milk goats. So it can be kind of difficult to obtain even though its known for its health benefits and horticultural uses.

So I went out and bought a nice camera. Im tired of having to hunt for the shared family one. It has a great macro so Im going to abuse the shit out of it :D Enjoy.

All of these pictures are from Friday before I went out of town. They're of the Harlequin and Purple Indica. These pheno of PI hasn't gotten purple yet, but I'm crossing my fingers as I have a few weeks still. The Harlequin really kicked ass, Im guessing a pound and a half from this little plant. It has 8-9 ounce+ cola's.

Harle right before the chop. Now most people would say "Well that looks pretty early" well your right. It is. I harvest all my CBD dominant medicine while the trichomes are 25% white and 75% clear.

Right above me, We have the Purple indica. I had to harvest one of the nugs early and holy crap. Kicken my ass already. Ill finish up the rest of this update with some PI shots.

Last but now least, Trimming pics.. Which I only have one of today.

IMG 0027

Just one Cola branch from the harle. Looks like something I get from an SOG....

Now I do apologize for not having more plant pictures, Dont worry I work in the garden all day today. If the fog ever decides to roll away and my light gets better Ill take some pictures of the plants still growing because there are plenty of em.

I also harvested the bubba Kush that CGK gave me. Ken if your reading this its really. Really. Prime. Thank you so very much.

I have read lots of different stuff and Im not sure what I wanna do

My bubba kush still needs a couple weeks ...its gonna be sleep meds ;)

Hey How is the Bubba Gold doing? o_O

I personally think its pretty glorious. Its had a bit of a PM problem, that doesnt really phase me though The buds have been starting to fill in the last week or two.

Ken! I hope you see this...

1. CBD is to be harvested early. Cannabinoid synthesis goes through a process something like CBD > THC > CBN throughout the last few weeks of flowering. Meaning earlier on there is more CBD, then in the middle (middle being white trichomes) the THC potency is up and later on with the amber color the CBN potency is up. Robert C Clarke states that CBD is turned into THC which then breaks down into CBN, One of my botany proffesors is currently writing a paper on how thats not true though atleast about CBD synthesis. What I'm saying though is, that there should be more CBD earlier on in flowering rather then later. This has been proven in lab tests etc.

I've been saying harvest CBD early for that exact reason. We then had a "master gardener" tell my boss at WAMM about how you need to harvest CBD dom strains early for maximum CBD potency. I got to dance around and say I told you so...

2. Harvest half of it early and half of it later then send me a gram sample of each. Ill get them lab tested and we'll have another set of results.

3. Dude the last thing I need is something to help me sleep. This early bubba is really nice. I get super stoned but dont fall instantly asleep.

Bouquet of Bubba. I harvested this little bubba because it had a lot of mold. It was even worse when I got to the inside of the plant. This inner cluster was pristine though...

Excellent excellent EXCELLENT post. I'd like to know what your botany prof comes up with in his final paper, too.

However, this brings up a question regarding variety types (Sativa vs Afghani, aka Indica) and when they're pulled. I have been told by a much more experienced grower and breeder that if you pull a Sativa too early you will experience those racy, bad-thought or paranoia-inducing highs. If this is true, then I'm curious as to what the cannabinoid profile is that induces this reaction. If it's the CBD you're discussing, then this is a compound that should be handled carefully. For me at least, those bad highs made me want to stop smoking.

His research is along the lines that THC and CBN are connected but not CBD. I have noticed that Indica's pulled earlier are higher in CBD, which does explain the fact I dont get as couch locked when I harvest an indica dom strain a week early.

Ill toss you a message with more information..

Looks sweet, man. I thin the shit out of my outdoor plants to reduce mold issues...esp in the lower to mid center of the plants. PM issues seem to originate down low where leaves are touching and where there is poor air circulation. I always give each branch a good shaking every day, starting at the top and working my way down. This will also throw off any pests like worms and such.

 im just seeing it now.
.I did harvest some..(the tops)..and lower stuff I left looks ready now :)
Thanks for the Info (i knew that..lol) Wanted to hear it again...

My Understanding is, CBD does Not break down if you let it go long like THC does..
I tested some harey today as a matter of fact :D

Howdy Folks, Harvest time in Santa Cruz. Holy Crap have I been busy. Helping out with harvest at six other farms in the area, the WAMM garden and my own has been a lot of work. Atleast Ill be warm in my hot box this winter ;)

Some Larry's OG Kush. Not really the best strain, has a delightful lemon smell and a great amount of trichomes on it but the plant grows really shitty and has no mold resistance.

IMG 0079

Theres a full plant shot, you can see me trimming to the right...

Look at that monster! Those nugs are gettin big on the Bubba gold!

The last three shots where of the Bubba Gold. The trichomes are really starting to fill in, I hope they start to develop a little more on the leaves because thats a lot of shake right there :D
