Oh homie I'm not afraid!!!!! Bring the competition I will do my best and will be sure that the cream rises to the top. I'm just being realistic is all, at the moment and for many years growers have enjoyed a monopoly of sorts all while making an obscene profit margin those times are rapidly ending.the doom and gloom in here is just getting comical. since when did this community just step aside for suits? Sad to see so many here scared of a little competition/money and playing in the real business arena.

Do you work in the industry? Or have more insight then just being a grower? No one is 'rolling over' here just foreseeing the future and making plans or they're speculating based off of the industry in their community. You seem to be the only one arguing here, everyone else see's the direction we're headed and are planning.the doom and gloom in here is just getting comical. since when did this community just step aside for suits? u see them on the forums now, asking basic questions. no clue but plans of starting something big....... many try at all levels and they normally fail then go under. many peeps hit colorado a few years ago with one million in hand, 8 pro growers later the small warehouse is collecting dust and the million is gone also ....
nobody should be scared but they should plan.
they will pepper the t.v's with ad's about unsafe, untested black market canna ....., forced testing for anybody selling it legal big or small, testing for chems or whatever, spot checks in the name of safety, just added cost .... regulation.
Ohhhhh Sea, we certainly advise those with deep pockets and you would not believe their inexperience with cultivating. They fight us on every aspect of the build because they have no idea... What are lumens? pH? ppms? VPD? What should my temps be? What's the difference between growing with vertical bare bulbs or horizontal? It's obvious the failure rate will match that of start-up restaurants. If someone paid you (enough), would you advise them, even if they were complete idiots about it?
Good! testing needs to be standardized.

well they can test for chems at this point. indeed, your talking a couple hundred thousand just for equipment, lab workers, then it needs calibration ( regulation again ) , the cost for everything is massive.
all your delivery cars tied in gps with state police. different routes taken every time. truck breaks, first call goes to state police .... stainless steel kitchen for extracts, more inspections for quality, electricity, so much shit .... so many workers needed for all of this.
I believe that labs will soon be laid to rest due to the iphone cannabis testing app that is coming to an iphone near you! Testing will take seconds and be able to be done in the palm of your hand, hey there is a great idea for a new business!Testing equipment has and will get much cheaper. Labs will become competitive as we are seeing with more opening up. I still don't see how all of this is a bad thing just because its not a free for all anymore, it is no different than many industries operate today.
Why would they see my direction? Not many have access to the information I do.Everyone here works in the industry in some form and yes I do. I am arguing in order to fight for a future that isn't selling out to the highest bidder for a comfy job. Would you rather just have a bunch of members agreeing with you? I thought this was a debate. Keep going in your direction, it isn't the one everyone is taking as you see it.
