Sounds like you have never been to LV..I asked for a specific area (streets) and you have provided nothing.
Las Vegas is NOT filthy and never has been since I moved there in the mid 1970's. I'm sure that there are areas that leave alot to be desired, but that's true everywhere in the USA.
Vegas was so conscious of people being stranded after losing all their money; that they offered free bus tickets to anyone needing a ride home (that was 20+ yrs ago and I do not know if it is still true)

You can buy just about anything in a pawn shop in Nevada.I love Las Vegas for five days a year at T.I.,,see a couple shows than make our yearly visit to "pawn stars"in a part of town not many tourist visit unless theyre looking to pawn something(evern cars).
