Could my blurple be better than a full spectrum?

There’s no need to keep your mouth shut. I’ve actually been running into this site my whole journey and just started to use it. I just don’t want to base my work off the work of amateurs, rather than plant scientists psychologists. No offense of course, me being an amateur. I’ve just come with books I’ve read written by professional and seminars given by them, rather than what I saw CoolGuy584 grow in his place. Sometime I feel like trends and choosing sides makes light of factuality.

But I've learned most of what I know from coolguy54, and I'm betting most of my amateur bud will be as good as yours, you can read a million books, and go to a thousand seminars, but NOTHING beats a hands on education with the ladies

5 lights gonna cost me 9k fr gavita, 3k for the r the Lumatek and I'll get change. That's a Massive outlay for me. My 5 x hps cost me 260 delivered OK was new bulbs on top of that.

For all I know it will balance out, it will kill me to break 3k out

Commitment to this site doesn’t mean one has done their fair share of research. If that was the case you wouldn’t see so many people growing autos.

Autos have thier place... some may not have the lighting requirements for a 12/12 light cycle so running a weaker light longer makes up for it. I honestly feel like ppl progress no matter where they start. Experience is gained and we become better growers no matter if its fems, autos, regs etc.

Most of us try not to judge but we usually have good debates. What works for one doesn't always work for others.

Probably the most important thing I have learned is that there is no one answer to any problem or aspect of growing.

And as someone once said 20 yrs of experience and 1 yr of experience repeated 20 times are far different. You can always learn something from anyone... new or not.

I’m organic, so it’ll take some time, but I’ll definitely take you up on the offer to compare. I’m pretty confident my plant will be shorter than yours and still yield more.

Many LED are reaching close to 50% less power for the same amount of light. No bulb replacement and save money over time on both bulb and power. They have the ability to modify spectrum much more so than HID. They also are very high cost upfront and the user should decide if the gains are worth the cost. For some it will be and for others it won't be. Grower experience is going to make a large difference. If you can't take advantage of that much light then it's a waste and likely to cause issues for the grower. The more light the more dialed in ya need to be.

HID, LED, CMH are all very relevant and each has thier place depending on our needs and amount we want to invest.

Just saying, you can clearly see on that plant that there are 5+ inch internodes. I'm not saying mine is any better but with a veg oriented LED, they are much shorter.

im not trying to take anyone’s thread, I’m new here, I wouldn’t know where to put it. I just like to comment on things. Airy buds with trichome a are still buds I guess.

I've been wondering this for a while and maybe someone who has more experience can answer this. I've only grown twice but I've grown 4 different strains and they hardly ever have a lot of trichomes on the sugar leaves. Obviously near the bud there's a lot but I see people with sugar leaves that are covered in frost and they don't even necessarily have frosty buds. Is it just pheno or strain? what causes it?
