As for stopping drinking and withdrawal, vegetables, specifically salad with all the micronutrients, make the brain less prone to pain and discomfort. It's like someone turned down the pain dial.
And getting cardio (raising your heartrate to 70% of maximum 3x weekly for 20 minutes) really helps with retraining your brain to be less affected by withdrawal symptoms(specifically the anxiety). If you are in a position to do cardio, that is.
