Just pulled my dep tarp, its 101 in the shade. Fucking hothot........thank god for coolers of iced beer.

The grasshoppers are so bad it looks like the ground is moving. So far ive been able to keep them off the gardens with perimeter sprayings of tempo and scattering eco-bran, but when everything turns brown, and the hoppers are bigger and more mobile, all bets are off. I have never seen them this bad. If I had to guess id say they will eat all the winter pasture before winter.

Wheat harvest (not that there will be much of one after the blizzard we had) starts in the next few days. Alot of guys say its gonna cost more in diesel to cut the crop then the grain will be worth. If it werent for weed wed be on food stamps..........lol
