A Master sure and Expert maybe But someone that knows it all thats simply impossible. And thats what it would take for me.

So that being said That will never happen and everyone here knows that is the fun of it otherwise we would just move on to something else. Like Golf or Knitting.

Im sorry but it is a SICK addiction to me. I cant help it. Period. Im not afraid to say it either. The Love of what is going to happen next keeps my life exciting and new and I wouldn't change that for all the world. I thank What ever greater being gave this gift of Life of MJ to me and all of you. I say all the time even if Iwas offered to do something else or won the lottery I would still grow because thats who I am. I will never master it and I hope I never would.

I hail to all those who know more then me just read back through the last three pages its about everyone who spoke. :D Im honored to be able to say hello.

Thank you to whom ever has helped me in the past.

And Sorry to those Im going to bug in the future.

Mastery is a journey which your constantly arriving. .....

Master cannabis Gardner could even be separated into indoor or outdoor , and I am a master of neither and i have only met two but they wouldn't admit it

One won't because father grows better veggie s then him and the other won't because it opens too many doors for questions and favors

"master grower" as the term originated has nothing all to do with MJ, or any single species of plant, it was a title related to a certification process as part of an education in Botany, an expert at applying information to growing many different genus of plant, with specific knowledge of many species, and how they all relate to each other as well as the environment they are in, think of the guy that maintains botanical gardens with hundreds of species from all over the world, various climates, not only being grown together but propagated and spread to other botanical collections....... While there are absolutely Masters at growing MJ, that makes them a master at MJ.......they can grow all day but you hand them a lithophite or discuss the diversity of angiosperms and how MJ relates to hundreds of years of floriculture and you're speaking Chinese.

If it says Master Grower on a resume, it should also include the program they recieved the cert from, if its not from a formal educational program its just bullshit

I've been at this for almost 7 years, self taught, and at about 200 lights now. What I would define as a master grower is someone with 10 years of experience, intermediate knowledge in construction, HVAC, electrical, irrigation, and familiarity with multiple styles of growing. A bachelor's degree is great, but at this level, experience is the number 1 determining factor. No one has the time or money to give the keys to someone and have them fuck up a couple of cycles.

I would be wary of anyone that claims to be a master grower and is currently unemployed.

At this rate, with very few people out there qualified to run a commercial garden, I would need to poach growers from other enterprises. This is a very common practice in other industries (ie headhunters)

I'm looking to pay base salary + performance bonus based on yield. Salary would end up being around $15k-20k a month. You need to come up with the long money to find talent.

(this is not a job ad).

I've never met one, at least not yet, but I have had 100's of people introduce themselves as one. When I was looking into getting my Texas Master Gardener cert, the very first module was that you had to walk thru a forest
The other funny thing to me is that I know some of the best growers in the biz and in the country and not one of them would ever refer to themselves as a master grower...We tear up any application that even has the term in it at my spots..for me it is almost the fastest way to loose all credibility in this game
Thats the way i would think.if a persons the type who thinks they know everything and think theyr a master grower then i would assume theyr not.iv know many top class growers and what people may consider to be a master grower but you would never hear them make a that claim or anything even remoteley similar.the opposite infact.

The proof is in the pudding, and consistent pudding at that.

I kind of think it's this^^ Consistent, maxing out of what the genetics will allow. I personally know only one guy, who I would say is a "Master." & he for sure would not call himself that. But the only better product I've seen is from Amsterdam.

I know of another guy, who I would also consider a master. The above guy is soil, this one is hydro.

For the job you are talking about, I don't think a degree in botany or entomology are necessary. They need to know their stuff for sure, & have a working knowledge of every medium. But honestly, as a guy who has been in the business field almost his entire working career, If one guy was a "master" (choose your definition) but thinks he knows it all, & the other guy is extremely good, but humble & teachable...for business purposes, I would choose the latter, every day of the week.

Humility = a person on the fast track to being a "master" of anything.

There is no such animal, now there may be a few ferries out in the world. Tinkerbell for example has a wand, and all the other ferries to help her out in a time of need for either info or physical help. Being able to name a few plant by species, or being able to grow some weed or alot for that matter means they can read, remember things, and possibly execute a remedy. Just because a doctor has a PhD does not mean they are a master of that field, it simply means they put their time in, and did what they had to do, all while remembering what they had too. Some doctors are really good at what they do, while most of them really suck! They will take your money though! Lawyers are the same, rappers are the same, growers, politicians, traders, pornstars, assholes, ballers, you see the pattern? Inflated egos does not help, it actually hurts more. Out of all of them none are masters. but again all will take your money, unless they have so much or what they need, then they simply become philanthropists.
When you go out in the world today chat all them up for a second or two, feel em out, then go home and ask yourself which one has the glow like Leroy did vs. Shonuff. Your answer will be like .5 I'm sure of it. That's your answer, even in your interviewing use the same method. Since .5 is not a total answer, now your back to grower, and master was never in the answer.

A plant is infinitely less complex than the human body, which is most of what you listed. It either is about the body, or a function of the brain.

Except for the Tinkerbelle & Leroy analogy, I lost you. However, I enjoyed it thoroughly lol!

The Leroy analogy? Hot damn son, that's some knowledge right there. I don't even know what you mean, but I think it's profound!

Yes, the human body is complex, yet we have a vast wealth of knowledge and some great doctors at that, but the answer is only some. None are masters I assure you. All of them put together, including Tinkerbell still cannot figure out the whole body, the brain and brain stem probably the most complex, but I'm not a doctor so you'll have to Google the answer for yourself.

lol, no, I'm very familiar with the movie...love that movie. How you are using it & Tinkerbelle to make your point is where you lost me. It doesn't matter...anytime you use the words "master" & "dragon" in the same thought...I like your style lol.
