this is where a good top off res comes in or like event does just hooks his ro line straight to his control bucket top off valve. As water is being taken up by the plants your adding in fresh water. It will drop the PPM slowly.I normally just start adding straight water in the last week.Usually down to around 400 PPM last couple weeks and 200 the last week.@EventHorizan can you give me some idea of how you transition from 500ish down to 150? And what about these sweeteners? I thought they were mostly bogus??
Well i drain my system and readd. They prob are bogus but i got 2 containers that just laying around so im gonna use them..@EventHorizan can you give me some idea of how you transition from 500ish down to 150? And what about these sweeteners? I thought they were mostly bogus??
That is right..this is where a good top off res comes in or like event does just hooks his ro line straight to his control bucket top off valve. As water is being taken up by the plants your adding in fresh water. It will drop the PPM slowly.I normally just start adding straight water in the last week.Usually down to around 400 PPM last couple weeks and 200 the last week.
They look close.i say another week
You still have quite a few white hairs.also no color change on the leaves.there all pretty green.i would drop the nutes way back down to like 200 ppm.she'll finish up in 10 days.@heisenbubble what are you looking at, or looking for, to get that idea? The pistils? Do you basically wait until they are all brown, or ?
Your last 2 posts is exactly what i would 9r saidI never go by trichs colors especially on autos.ive had 90 percent cloudy on plants that were 4 weeks into flower.i go by appearance.i can just tell when a plant Is done.when the calyxs swell out of the buds and you have more colored hairs than white hairs also.leaves will change colors to.
whats is the ppm? And pics?Interesting. PPM is at about 200 and I'm topping up with just water at this point, but I have an "issue" I've never had before - my pH constantly dropping.
All during veg I battled constantly rising pH, then when she started flowering it wasn't as bad, now it seems to actually be the opposite.
Is this a thing - pH dropping during late stage flowering?? @EventHorizan @heisenbubble
I have 2 probes in action, and I just cleaned and calibrated both of them this morning, so I know they're accurate. They both said 5.8 about 4 hours ago, and right now they both say 5.4. I've never ever seen this before.
Roots still look healthy and the same as usual, and it seems like if it was just due to less nutrient uptake I would see rising PPMs to go along with the dropping pH, but I'm not seeing my PPM go up at all...
My bad ppm is 200,,,whats is the ppm? And pics?
Pics? She should be ready to chop by this weekend I figure. Think it even matters at this point?
I’m tempted to just adjust up and see if it keeps happening, just for the experience and so I can see if it does the same thing next time. This is all I’m gonna grow, so I wanna become an expert on her behaviors and quirks.
Is it OK to run just ro for the last 4-5 days? Seems like that would be starving her while she is frantically trying to fatten up the flowers.
They’re definitely still fattening up, lots of little tiny growth inside the buds which is fattening them up nicely. I’m honestly shocked at how strong she flowered after my 3 or 4 attempts at killing her which stunted her quite a bit in veg.
No I think they will keep drinking, but they quit eating pretty much...Man that’s a lot of leaves. By comparison, check my pics above and you’ll see hardly any fan leaves at this point. It’s basically a 14” bud plant!
The remaining fan leaves are already yellow and rusty from my seemingly almost constant cal/mag deficiancy, plus some nute burn on top of that, so it’s hard to tell. Stems are mostly purple, and some sugar leaves are starting to yellow as well, but obviously my little plant couldn’t look much more different than yours with all those leaves.
She is currently in the middle of week 11. I read a few grow diaries on this strain (cbd crack from fastbuds) and most people seem to chop in 11 or 12.
She’s still drinking though, so I figure I’ll let her go a bit longer. Don’t most plants all but stop drinking when they are ready to be chopped?
