1 gal every watering. I water twice a week a third if they need it. Soil is still moist and its been 4 days since they were watered last. In the last 4 days, there was 1 dead plant, now there is at least 6 dead.Im no expert but i don't think 1 gal is enough for a 10 gal pot, possibly leaving dry pockets around the root ball. Maybe someone more seasoned than me can chime in to help, I'm not sure how to save those
I give my outdoor only rain water seem to be doing fine. Also, pure plain rainwater is not good for potted plants unless you add some nutrients back to it, it has no alkalinity and is quite acidic usually. I used it for quite some time but you need to be crafty about buffering it properly. I stopped using it a couple years ago because it was giving me grief. Bringing up to 100-150ppm with tap water is a suitable solution.
We have well water and the ph is 7.3. The ppm is 903. That is why I use rain water. Our rain water is ph is 6.5 and 120 ppm. Also, pure plain rainwater is not good for potted plants unless you add some nutrients back to it, it has no alkalinity and is quite acidic usually. There is perlite in the soil. Maybe not enough? The perlite is big and chunky. There is a lovely shortage of perlite in our area.Pots Up off the floor for circulation underneath. Don’t see any perlite in the soil so maybe to dense and draining poorly. Take a cheapo two prong moisture meter and poke a couple of holes in the bags about 3/4 of the way down. See what kind of reading you get. Also poke It in from the top into the root ball and see what kind of reading you get. Probably in adequate lighting also. But that’s not Whats killing them. Can’t Comment on your feeding. I think, drainage, and watering. There’s my guess!
I will call around and see if I can even find perlite. When I tried last time, I only found the huge chunky perlite. We broke it up the best we could.I would take an empty pot and fill it 60% soil 40% perlite mix it all together real well and re-pot one of those plants into it.Neighbor.
I suck at cloning. I have successfully killed hundreds of clones!I would take a few clones of that, right away, if it's a special plant.
