I have a few others that are even better

you know for these LED's I really would like another 4 cob bar

so I have 8 cobs for 600w in my 2x4

I think I would literally murder it

with this strain

just super fat colas like in that video we watched a while back of that dude from holland

That is what I wanna strive for
so 4 colas per plant 6 plants
100g per plant
would be 1 g per plant
might be able to swell them even more with double the watts...maybe 200g per plant
which would get me in the 2gpw category

I will be stoked if I can get into 1 with this run

the best I have ever done with HPS was .8 gpw

if I can get 300g off this run
that would mean 26g per sqft
which in my calculation is pretty damn good

so with a 600 if I could run 1gpw I would be pulling in the 50's per sqft which is on par with the 1K de gavita 4x4 grows

See Wiser that's what I really wanted you to teach me. The one cola a branch tech. The difference is I need 16 single cola branches per plant. X 8 plants = 128 tops/single cola branches. Which is exactly how many squares are in a 4x8 scrog net with 6" squares.
That's is exactly what I want in my tent. Scrog net is ONLY just to hold from falling over, and to square off tops for uniformity. ..

Your watching my thread
You see the 12 topper, and the 19 topper I have that's only a few inches tall? Give that some time and they will all be main colas.

I just need to make sure this is the best alternative for space and time and that really is decided on just how much veg time I will really need.

The 11 & 19 top plants I have are just over 31 days old. Depending on which space each one goes into they may only need another week or 2. To another month if necessary.

The time added in veg always seems negligible. Only because you only get antsy to finish towards the end of flower lol.

Well at .8 x 1600 watts that's 1280 grams. ÷8 = 160 grams per plant. 160 grams ÷ 16 tops = 10 gram tops
I need 10 gram colas. That's really pushing. For 16 - 10 gram colas. It's not that I think 10 gram top is that big, but 16 of them per plant. Just seems like the more tops the smaller the colas to from what I observed.

Right... Time is important but this first run I have accepted things might not go as planned.

you are right
the more colas the smaller
but if you have mad root room then it dosnt matter

outdoors I like to grow bushes and each cola is at least an ounce
no matter the amount

mad roots

that is in ground bushes

im becoming less and less impressed with these seeds. I have the 2 that our up and they are fine of course. But i see nothing else. Its been a week. I put them in paper towels last monday... took them out thursday and moved them to rooters... By now every other seed would of been up by now.. Here we go, i will take a bagseed seed and give it a 12 hr soak and STRAIGHT to rooter plug and i bet you its up before any of these others.. I just know in my heart..

I know im not the greatest grower by any stretch of thee imagination, but to fail 6 of 8 seeds and 4 of 4 of the cookie strain,,, well i cant help but figure i didnt get a very viable pack of seeds. Im very disappointed. And I will be down right angry if i dont get at least 1 gsc out the whole pack! I had really high hopes for this run but every day i begin to have doubts. I mean is gonna be prone to hermie, mold, bugs, temps, in the back of my mind im like expecting something bad.
I dont function with that kind of mindset and i sure wish i would see something to change my mind soon!

Are they on a heat mat? I think my problem was colder temps and old rapid rooters. I think fungus got a lot of my seeds. I soak my older plugs in h2o2 to sterilize em then soak in some pH water with a touch of bio root after that.

so take the remaining seeds of that pack....if you have some.....and place them in the fridge

after 24 hours put them in a shotglass with water
after another 24 hours
take your finger and pop them down in the water so they sink
wait another 24 hours

get some papper towel ready
pour the seeds out onto the papper towel and fold the towel over and pour off the excess water
put in a plastic bag and place on top of heat mat
put a hand towel over it

check in another 48 hours...(dont peek)

there should be tails and the process of the shell being shed

if not....contact logic and see if he will replace the bunk pack

To be honest I don't ever check or change my Ph.

My bubbling nutes get their ph consistant from dissolved oxygen & microbial life.

Then the soil life and the plant buffer the soil ph how they see fit.

I stopped worrying about it after my 1st grow. When my nutes were good ph everytime but soil slurry test was very acidic (4ph). But my plant seemed healthy. Now I let the plants and microbes control it.

I would remove the plastic solo cups before transplanting. The roots may be confined within.

They'll spread out sideways faster without the cups

I agree on he should of removed the cup and he did on his next transplant. We just figured out what the problem is... His slurry test came back in the 8's ph.. his run off he said was 6.4 yesterday before we had him start slurry test...

neither slurry or runoff will tell you what is really going on

I have grown in soil for ever

microbes break down elements into usable form

the plant has it's own ph so to speak in the rhizosphere

if you are growing organically then none of what hydro understands....means anything whatsoever

so no ph-ing the water
no filtering.....not even chlorine

if growing organically

tea every week
microbes once a week or bi weekly

and that is it

no slurry tests
no runoff tests
no water ph

all that does is a big fat.........nothing when it comes to organics

now if growing outdoors
in ground
then slurry and soil samples matter because you have to know what needs to be added to get the best from your crops

if he is using nutes and his medium is something like promix
then 6.5ph feed and get about 10% runoff
and only water when the pot becomes light...just before the plant is gonna wilt

I don't monitor pH at all. I remember being skeptical when I first tried it but it works so well I've never looked back. I'm 100% organic forever.

@EventHorizan this is the best $20 I've spent this grow. My rh was staying in the high 20s, low 30s. Now it stays between 40-55. Also filters odor which is a plus:).
