Update day:

Well two of my girls came down with a mysterious sickness some of y’all are trying to help me diagnose on another thread….I’m sure I F’d up, to much Nutrients?

So they are being separated till they die or recover.

Today everyone was re-potted (even the sick girls) and I attempted my first LST with the healthy two, how did I do y’all? Obviously there was a fuck up where I got a little aggressive, hopefully we’ll recover. Trimmed most the fan leaves. If I did ok I’ll work on my other two if they recover from their current sick status.

Are they getting to old for this?

They’re now in their final 25 gallon pots with FFOF hopefully moving to direct sun after a few days of rest from the re-pot/LST

I see you had to do a patch for a broken stem there, don’t worry as long as it stays alive it’s basically HST and I did that on one of my autos it still has the patch in it and it’s my densest plant. Yes it was on the main stem from an aggressive LST attempt also haha

That fat bud on the right side was the main stem that I vent down and broke, apparently it actually liked it and I literally broke it in half to where I could see through the hollow part of the stem

Update day:
Girls have been moved to their new home hopefully, what do y’all think?

Found this tent on the side of the road, hopefully come fall/budding season I’ll wrap it in construction poly leaving room for air I’ll put a fan in there and try to keep them from molding, I’m in the North East and have been worried about making it through harvest in our wet falls…. The two girls who work sick are standing tall and seem to be growing, hard to tell if anything negative is progressing

My ph meter and EC meter showed

I’ve been feeding just rain water since Monday

But here’s my readings
View attachment 1246724View attachment 1246725View attachment 1246723
Looks like I need to adjust my water PH??
How dose one do that?
I’ll get a reading tomorrow somehow on the soil currently
Also I have no idea what to look for on the TDS or EC readings
Are you using unfiltered water?
What your seeing is deficiency
Once the 3rd & 4th internodes are established u should start to give ur lady's EVERYTHING they need at 1/4 strength or a bit less to see how dif strains react and keep a log of what u use, and strength.
To raise ur ph use water with a higher ph content never use ph up to raise ur lvl.
Pick up Jorge Cervantes grow bible it's so worth it

Lookin good, but thats alot of shade
That mite be a good spot to flower. If you can find even 4 separate spots that get more sun for as long as possible.
I have a spot that's shady like that too, and I will be moving the lady's back there middle of August and start feeding bloom fuel to help push plants into flower faster and easier

I'm in Michigan so we share concerns!!

No need to let plant rest aftr up potting.
Best thing is wind & sun. U want those roots 2 spread quick rite?
And you need a better source of food/protein
Look at how to grow mendo dope on YouTube, and get the grow bible by Jorge Cervantes. Put ur nose in that book while your finishing this grow and by the end of this season you'll not only have kicked urself in the ass a few dozen times you should be able to start formulating for next season.
Good luck & keep in touch

So I’ve been using rain water but ph’ing up and down with a ph adjuster. I think fox farm runs hot and they tell you to use a whole bunch of stuff at once, they all seemed happier with half doses.

Will do, book is in my Amazon cart as we speak. The spot they’re in is in full sun almost all day shade sets in around 6pm currently, if that’s not enough I’ll try and come up with a different plan.
So they need as much sun as possible till flower then they want partial or they just handle it better then?

They want ALL sun possible to grow
Dnt use water w chlorine in it (tell u more if need be)
Rain water shouldn't need Ph adjustments
God dnt use no meter😛 lol
And most nutes say to use way to much. They want u buying as much as possible. Most of that shits not even needed.
I personally do mostly organic w a bit of synthetic.
If you have the $$ roots organic/soul synthetics MASTER program is nice but expensive. It does have everything the lady's need in their schedule but your also contributing to unnecessary plastic, salt, & metal content.

ya. too much watering at the beginning and way too much other stuff. I just started another round in happy frog and I think it's too "hot" already. I know how to pop a seed but something is not right. They are really slow to get going.

So I am starting again today in roots organic 707 which seemed much better. Go with some actual weed soil from roots organic or great lakes or the like.

I use promix hp (high porosity) w micoriza & water with a lil root stimulating agent. They pretty much all work. Once u get up potted and see new growth introduce nutes at 1/4 rec strength
The fox farm is something you would want to mix to start living soil and your supposed to let it sit like 2 months

they really should take that time and let their "ages forrest products" compost "a tad better" to deliver a ready to use product of high quality

ya dont start adding grow stuff until a few weeks at least. Just micorhizae. But a fresh bag of upper tier soil should also have plenty of that.

my best overall luck with fox farm has been salamander soil. It's meant to be less attractive to outdoor pest having no fish meal or bone/blood meal and whatnot. It's like greener and stuff. if i had that purple trainwreck again I'd be a happy camper.

Update:

Mid week this week I LST the last two who seemed to be sick before so I let recover before training. It would seem whatever their issue is/was isn’t really progressing. Seeing new growth on them and short of the dying original infected leaves seem happy.
Wondering if I should top all of them? Do you too outdoor plants? Thoughts?
Interesting (to me at least) Green crack and Grandaddy purple, both of which where my largest plants at the time of LST had no problem bending and took to LST well, but both the train wrecks cracked. Interesting how different they can be.
I’m sure y’all are gonna say they look thirsty🧐 my water meter said they’re WET but tomorrow will be 7 days since they’re last water🧐🧐🧐 I’m trying very hard not to over love them and kill them but am worried my meter is just broke…idk may water tonight so they have time to dry before Friday….thoughts?? Anyway hope all your grows are doing well
Sincerely a newbie trying to hang in there 😅

Close ups look nice ! 👍
Keep steady, the meter ,the plant, and your eye will tell you. 25g are BIG pots bro ..
I use a meter through the sides and take mine to dry before I water again.

Well I guess it’s been awhile since I updated, thought I posted I had abandoned LST as I didn’t like the way they were leaning and uprighted the girls on 6/27/22…
They’ve only been getting cal-mag and water since their re-potting on Father’s Day weekend
What do y’all think?
Should I be doing something more?

Lookin good man, I would recommend doing some type of landscaping fence or some guys use welded rebar to wrap around the outside of the pot to help carry weight of the branches.
Consider pinching some of the branches wich will cause thicker branch & stalk.
I couldn't afford metal but this is what I have done this year as I'm just getting back into it
