I love both. I used to literally throw my trim away for the first few grows. I knew it was good for something but wasn't gonna try the ice water methods. Then I saw a report on a some people that got burned up. One died making "wax" I was like wtf is that. But asked it was done crazy meth lab your type shit. But then stumbled across a vid on shatter. But didn't have any clue about a dab rig I just put it on a bunch of papers when it was still soft and called em my sticky icky ickies. Then just in the last year my homie from waaaaaayyyy back showed my how to dab and I fkn love it. Not before work but def love it. I do cookies and brownies and cooking oil to cook with also. I usually use the stems for thatsome strains become more liquid as they age...dependant on the method used....I only smoke flowers myself.....I used to dabble in Honey oil in the 90's but just flowers for me
Makes perfect senseI just had to change mine while I went out of town..
When they go into their dark time just leave them in there until it's new light time comes on. You have to give them 12 hrs of darkness atleast ,so if they have to go all day until the next light ,then so be it.
I hope that makes sense cause I'm pretty stoned right now..
That's what I was told to do.
And I'm guessing they are in flower mode already?

Thanks guys. I usually run mine at night. But during winter i like the extra heat during the day, and also it being in my room for my sleep. But I only got coupe weeks left on this and will be moving soon too. Looking for a house to tent now.I second that....when lights go off for you..allow it to go through the dark period and then keep the lights off through your usual light period until you get to the dark period you want and then flip them back on and set it....dont forget to set the timer!!!!!!!!should be fine....
I myself never run my lights during the day.......always at night......I run 8pm-8am always...well for my bloom.....which is always more high powered then my veg which are just some T-8's
I don't necessarily run a perpetual so when ever my next batch goes in they get 2 weeks of veg under the new lights before the flip
I don't have a 1kw bulb only 2 600w mh, and 2 600w hps. My canopy is about 2'x3.5'. I know a 600 is more than sufficient and the most efficient. But would I benefit with the 1kw dialed down to 600w with matching hps bulb. And then dial the 600w down to 250w with the 600my...for the light.....I would say.....how many square foot is your canopy?
as for the nutes....it is what is called a sub phase.......so there is the veg and bloom stage....and in the bloom stage there are phases like the stretch then the bloom and the ripen....but in-between those there are sub phases
Major hydro cultivators like large tomato farmers know about it as they monitor so closely
it is your plant pushing to fill out is my guess gearing up for the next phase of it's life........
as for the light....without knowing the canopy footprint....I would say that I would drop the 1K and run the 600 as the 600 is by far more efficient then the 1K and in a smaller footprint will outperform the 1K as they will essentially produce the same but the 600 is using far less watts with far less heat loss....just the way 600's rock
Cool, thanks for explaining that. I ran a 600w in a 4x4 for years, getting about .75g per watt. I did get more weight when I added the 1kw but was getting like .65gpw with autos. I need to order some good bulbs too. Idk what I prefer. The digilux or the hortilux eye. I had great results with both. What do you prefer? And would you go dual spectrum?. Like 1kw dual? (600hps, 400mh). Going in a 5x5x7' tent.no...your plants can only take in so many photons before saturation rates diminish....so a PPFD 1500 is about max....anything beyond that is wasted heat and energy
a 600 in your space for the 1 plant is plenty.........and your heat and bill will go down....
..unless you are growing like a 8' tree but in your space IMO a 600 is perfect for the job.....
I don't believe you will gain anything by adding any more then 1 600
also ....dialing down isn't the best for your bulbs and they don't or should i say won't run properly
run the 600 at 600 or 600 boost which is usually like 630
just 1
and HPS is sufficient
dual spec is awesome...if running a de or vert bulbs but in your case I would just rock the 1 600
