This is a topic that is soooo important and rarely talked about. So why Unislabs? Several reasons. They drain better than hugos, and plants develop a strong healthy root system in the delta block first, which I'm my mind is key.
What this allows is almost immediately giving them daily feeds. I can daily feed straight from transplant into the delta, and I can daily feed the same day I put them on the unislabs. Because the delta block is elevated above the slab yet in contact with it, it loses its saturated zone, meaning the waterings will never drown the roots. Instead the roots can explore the saturated slab as they see fit. And boy do they ever..
Did you get the uni slab idea from your spiked punch connection?I have been super excited to start this grow diary!
After my last round I was unimpressed with the performance using promix and organic ferts..and so decided to go back to rockwool for another crack at it.
This time I decided to use unislabs instead of HUGO'S. And I feel that decision was an important one, ill come back to that.
I'll be updating this thread pretty frequently, but to kick it off, here is where I started.
16 x 1 week old clones in 3" delta blocks placed onto unislabs. 8 x Spiked Punch, and 8 x Wedding Crasher.

Maybe it is time for @Aqua Man to get on the delta block and uni slab detail. You already have the tables set up!!!!!!This is a topic that is soooo important and rarely talked about.
No, other way around. I've turned him onto them lol. He has been a hard-core coco grower forever.Did you get the uni slab idea from your spiked punch connection?
looking Really good DB. You going to add a second layer of netting? They are just a little taller than me here on the outside edge of the garden... including the foot tall riser and slab of course. Felt like working in a jungle rainforest surrounded by lush vegetation lol.
Thankful for my high ceilings. View attachment 1116135View attachment 1116136View attachment 1116137
I'm out for a few months bro... its funny you say that. It was discussed and may happen where I'm moving my equipment to for a cycle. Until I start up again.Maybe it is time for @Aqua Man to get on the delta block and uni slab detail. You already have the tables set up!!!!!!
