Brotha Lost!! How goes bro? I have more hash material than I can store lol. Extra freezer would be nice :)

innercityphunk, I've pulled the same weight in rdwc as with chow mix. Chow mix is much less of a hassle. I've had no gain running rdwc other than more worries and a higher electric bill. I won't be doing rdwc again for probably another year and only for fun on a small scale.

Dizzle, you find a new space yet? Lost, how you liking Oregon?

You have an inline fan "blow" cold air through the ducting while the other end exhausts somewhere that locating hot air is acceptable. I would say approximately if using a 6" 449 cfm vortex on 2x1000 lights and one run of duct you would be doing well for cooling those 2x1000 lights but it all depends on the time of the year/Intake Air Temps and whether or not your sealed or unsealed.. f

For me personally I would much rather run open bulb and have a big ass carbonfilter suck all the hot air out of the room and not not have to deal with ducting and cleaning glass etc. Some would say approx. 150-200 cfm per light, I know for me 300 cfm per light isn't enough during the hot months temps can still climb into the high 80's during july/august but thats not aircooling the lights directly just the room and it is really not bad considering it was 35 celcius during the peak of the day and 30 celcius when my lights went on, thats just a filter and exhaust fan with filtered passive intakes no AC.

Ideal cooling setup is Open bulb (fuck cleaning glass), lots of AC approx 4500 btus per 1000w light and an hvac guy to fix your split air conditioner or some spare window bangers to replace the broken ones, sealed room with a Co2 burner or tanks (burners will produce heat/increase humidity), high temperature cutoff required. Not cheap.

I have a 8in maxfan cooling 4k, air goes in, up, down, acrossed, up, down then out, single loop. works for my situation, I would probably either add another 8in or just use a 10in to begin with. I think there is a picture of how I have it set up somewhere in one of my threads

Dizzle

I read where the last three days you cut the lights completely. Are you still watering them during those last three days....or does the hempy cover that? Just curious as I am nearing the end of my current run and I was thinking of tapering the light cycle during the last week. Whats your thoughts on this? Does it really increase resin production?

I made a circle out of 1/2 raindrip tubing, then use 1/4in dbl barbs to 1/4in tubing, each plant has a circle with 7- 1/4in "T" s to distribute the water evenly

I love this grow, Dizz! Your girls are absolutely gorgeous. I love the fullness they get with vertical lighting. Cheers!

wow those are some great looking plants dizzle props!

I think I read on this thread that you were considering using more perlite than 4:1 perlite to coco.... I am trying out 8:1 right now and had a question as far as container size goes. Would it be possible to get a 1 lb plant using that ratio, vertical lighting, and 5 gallon buckets or should I go with 10 gallon brutes?

my test run in the 5 gals worked great but I havent flowered anything yet and I wanna make sure to get the bucket size right before I do. thanks for the help!

root zone and res question

I am wondering if you have to clean the res during your grow and or if you have experienced and root related issues with this drip to waste style...

since I started flowering several weeks ago all of my girls look awesome! however my res smells like fish and there is some slime build up.

any additives to use and or is this normal? thanks
again and again

I defoliate during veg, then I do a big one on flip and then again on day 21. FIM when I do it, I do it early in veg

I personally dont have to clean my res, if you getting slim in your res you probably need to mix your nutes better. IF it stinks its probably from something your feeding, floralicous stinks a little and so to many other organic type nutes
