Hey thanks for that, makes sense. I do like the idea of buying something once, but then I have to put it to good use. It may be a thing I am totally into or maybe not, can't know. I won't be doing any of it for at least a couple of months so I am just reading a bit here and there.And don’t get me wrong! You can get damn good sift out of the, 60, 90, 110, 200 rigs! That’s what I started with, and just added a few screens when I got the dumb idea that I knew what I was doing! Going with that should cost you less than buying individual screens!

I don’t think Summer is a good time to go with dry sifting. But I am a noob at this. From what I’ve seen, if you’re going to use static electricity as a cleaning method, warm, humid conditions, make it tough to generate a proper charge. Maybe ice water hash during the summer. But that involves spending a decent amount of money also. A lot of these guys don’t have pounds of material to play with. They want to do it on a pretty small scale, and a pretty small budget! So I don’t know. Every opinion helps there’s no doubt about that!
I’ve definitely sifted in hotter. One of the main things is learning to sift properly. When I first started I was taking like an hour plus to do what I can in 15 seconds now. Literally. If you learn to work material there is very little that can stop you.I was just taking a quick look and it seems that you need lower than 40% humidity to generate a decent static charge! The lower the better. A lot of part of this country won’t see that during the summer. And I’ve also seen where 62° is the cut off for temperature. You’re right! It’s a delicate, balancing act! But once you’ve had a little success during the winter, and caught the bug, it’s hard to put it down! Lol! I’ll probably keep experimenting as a season progresses. I think I can get 60° with an AC and I live in an area where it gets bone dry in the summer. Might as well keep trying to learn, even if it’s the hard way! Lol! Maybe it’s time to dig out a wool sweater and start stroking it! Ha ha! I’ve even tried using those frozen cold packs to hold in my gloved hand to cool it down. Don’t know if it does any good, but it makes me feel better!
Been curious, would the $400 refer to a rosin plate set or what would you consider the "decent way" ?Gave my hands a alcohol wash! Now I can operate my bic lighter with one hand again! Lol accumulating a lot of B and C grade that I would like to press into a brick! But don’t want to spend $400 to do it right! Thinking about getting a 2 x 4 pre-press mold and using a torch and a vice out in the barn. If you see this, any opinions are welcome!

Been thinking about diy'ing one for quite a while and saved one of those Car Lifters for it but not knowing shit about welding and even owning one prevented me from continuing the road so far. Plus the potential danger of having a Hydraulic press that might snap due to poor welds.

4 pcs went for about 15€ (from China) it translates to Heating cartridge plus something like the inkbird, Modell "ITC-106VH which goes about $35 then you would have the Heating part settled, i didnt figured out the benches back then but i think most just used aluminium blocks and drilled holes in them for the cartridges. Not familiar with the Block molds and if it would work there but figured i might throw it out there

I’ve heard even the cheap wire welders from Harbor freight will get lightweight jobs done! I may be dumb, but not dumb enough to trust any weld I would make!Even more reason I should have listened to @cpurola and bought a welding rig a while back. Would have paid for itself by now.
