Funny aside, I went to school with Nature Boy's daughter Megan. I remember Ric sitting at the lunch table with us.

He was a MONSTER when you were 6 yo.

I can definitely dial that back. I figured it was a cheap add.

Thoughts on their other adds? ie Liquid Karma?

I've got the Hydroplex, but did not pick up LK. I am not interested in their carbs (sweet, raw, etc.) I figure the kelp will add the trace minerals.

I've thrown liquid karma in the uc before. I got some film on my buckets from that. Plants liked it though.

Cool. I'm used to the 'pink film' from DM's ADD.27. Hate it, but can live with it.

Ingredients don't look much different than what is already in Hydroplex, save for a few carbs.

from what i've read about tea brewing after 24 hours or so you have more of a monoculture than a varied herd; inoculating with a monoculture could possibly prevent microbial diversity in the first place

Hmm... Was sort of afraid of that. Thanks.

I think I need to drop a heater in the brewer to get the temps up too.

Tea Brewer got a res heater. Came up to ~70* from the 58* or so it was sitting at. Cold temps != good for Bio-Growth.

Chopped 6" or so from the screen legs and molested the ladies again.

An hour or so later they adjusted a bit.

Crazy top branching.

Some nodes have 2 branches coming from them.

:)

That book kept coming up as reference in lots of my reading this morning. I only found a place to buy it (39$). Pretty sure I can stumble across a PDF or online version somewhere.

Yeah, when you need a bulb like yesterday, you have to hit the shops.

Locally they are ~130ish Sunmasters are ~70

I try not to buy obvious grow related shit on ebay. chillers, pumps and whatnot for my 'aquarium'? sure.

I might set up a separate ebay acct for bulbs though.

yea i wonder how the buds on those weird looking tops are going to turn out.. good i'm sure, but it's so different than any growth i've ever seen.. like the plant has so much energy it's nods are growing as fast at the top..

don't set up another ebay account, just edit your paypal so your billing info is the same but the shipping address is either a ups or a fedex facility. they both hold for about 5 business days. then the seller won't know where you are from because the paypal just gives the credit card info. not sure if that was your concern... always good to leave paperless trails though even if you do have to spend a little more, not 57% markup though lol.

i think you made the right choice, just because hortilux as a company seems greedy too me.

It's not the shipping addresses, have a few to go around, but as a buyer and seller on ebay, my feedback is important to me. I don't want it littered with 'grow items', thats all.

Veg Room...

Ran 1/2" PEX for the constant feed water lines for both flower rooms. Need to pick up a few misc odds and ends to button that up tomorrow.

I should have my pH auto-dosers made by this weekend, just waiting on a few parts. Once water and pH control is in place, I can flip these bitches and start working on Room 2 again.

Quick veg room update.

They got their first drench of brewed tea.

Constant feed lines are in and functional in all 3 UC rooms.

Still need to finish the set up of Room 2, but that will be this weekend/next week.

One Word.

Sharkbite!

If I EVER have to do any sort of plumbing I will ALWAYS use these things.

More $$ but damn, measure, cut, push it in, done. Undoing it is even easier. Slide a clip and pull out the tube.

1/2" PEX T to 3/8" top off. I want to pick up some 3/8" JG fittings so I can drop the line down along the floor and run the tubing and meter wiring under a platform so I don't have to step over the lines and potentially yank shit off the wall.

I will rerun and drop the line down after this room is complete. I couldn't really get it down along the baseboard with the screen/plants in there.

Might have enough PEX and fittings to get it to the Veg Table too. Just need to drill a hole in the res and install a float valve.

I added 100ml of DM A&B Bloom, 100ml of Pure Flowers and 130ml of Roots Excel. Solution balanced out to 680/5.8. (Tap is ~120ppm)

Timers are now set for 12/12. Can't use the HortiControl until I get Room 2 operational.

Going to change out the res in a week or so, but have been transitioning to bloom nutes with each top up.

Bad ballast was swapped, so all 4k are burning with new bulbs.

Vegging Alien OGs are really starting to take off now. Hoping to put them in Room 2 in ~3-4 weeks. The mix on the table is looking good. Roots are just hitting the bottom of the netpots now. That round should put me on a monthly harvest schedule from here on out.

hahaha that is a bit far. I have had enough driving the past few weeks with work... and picking up a car in MN and towing that shit back. PM me if you are interested in bulbs though. I get them on the cheap if I get over a few at a time... The shop I get them from makes sure they aren't advertised because a lot of shops have been popped by horti and will pull their bulbs from their stores if caught selling them that cheap.
