Nothing much to report yet. The seeds prob need a few more days to sprout, but I go in regularly to mist the top soil with a spray bottle a few times a day, and at night I’ll take a small amount (about a capful) of water and get it on/near the seed for the night.

Being a little impatient, I did brush some dirt away to expose a seed, and it has started splitting, so they should be making an appearance soon :)

Last night before the lights went out, one of the strawberry gorillas broke through the ground. This morning, the silver alert has started coming up as well (this one the one I brushed the dirt lightly away to see).

I did notice one of the white widows tap root was starting to come up, so I gently turned it over in the soil and lightly covered it back up. Hopefully I didn’t cause it any stress.

This is the strawberry gorilla

This is the silver alert

Very excited to see them popping out already!

Thanks man!

I just went to inspect, all 3 white widows have germinated. One of them was upside down (tap root was coming out the top), so I gently flipped her over.

They might be out of their shell by this evening.

I had to go into the new tent to see if the humidifier needs to be turned on, which it did, and now all of the seeds have germinated and are coming up.

Here’s some pics from earlier (only 1 of the gorilla autos isn’t pictured here):

They’re a little hard to see, and only 2 had the husks fall off (gorillas), so the husks kind of mask the sprouts, but they’re there.

Here we go for some pics:

Strawberry Gorillas:

White widow:

Silver alert:

The white widow that has its husk off is LST’ing itself, or maybe it’s just stoned. Hopefully it’ll start lifting itself up soon.

That’s all for now :)

One of the white widows seemed like it was having trouble kicking the husk off, so I helped her out by using a toothpick.

The others aren't far enough along to have the husks removed or fall off naturally.

The white widow thats leaning - I repositioned the cup so the cotyledons are getting more light exposure and hopefully that will help straighten the stem.

Hard to tell from that angle, so here’s another one:

A few hulls still haven’t popped off, but they’re still growing. I may see if I can assist with them later on.

The white widow that was LST’ing itself is now standing up straight, and the 4 that lost their helmets are doing good!

Having a bit of a time with low humidity, but my new humidifier is coming in today, and I’m going to start doing actual watering today instead of multiple sprays and a capful at night, so I think that’ll help a smidge.

The widows:

This was the one that was slumping over. Still a little scrawny, but we won’t hold that against her.

The gorillas:

Aside from that, things appear to be progressing well.

So all of the hulls fell off except for the silver alert. That one doesn’t seem to want to grow. It was a bit loose in the soil, so I replanted it a little deeper.

Just in case it doesn’t pop, I sowed another seed using the plastic bag + holes method. Here’s hoping for a quick germination.

Managed to get it in right as the lights went off.

So far the 3 white widows are doing good, and 2 of the strawberry gorillas are doing good. The Silver Alert hasn't seen much growth, and the third gorilla lost the seed hull, but the cotyledons aren't opening up. I decided to sow another gorilla last night in a 3 gal pot as well, so hopefully it pops up in the next few days.

The seed in the cup + bag has germinated, but I did sow it a bit further down that the others. I removed the top layer of soil and I see that the seed has split, so I put a light covering of soil over it and will continue to monitor for the next few days. I'll snap some pics of them all in a little bit.

The white widows:

The good gorillas:

The bad gorilla:

The silver alert:

I’ll give the lacking gorilla a few more days, then maybe I’ll use it as an experiment to try to intervene and fix it somehow, otherwise I may just pull it.

The silver alert seems like there’s potential, but I’m not sure if the lack of growth at all means that it’s unlikely to continue further. I’ll give it a few more days before I pop the hull off and see if that’ll make it move.

Any thoughts on those 2?

So...I accidentally killed off the silver alert yesterday, so I planted another one.

Here all of them so far:

The ones that sprouted all seem like they’re doing well, with the exception of one of the gorillas. I put a cut soda bottle top over it yesterday, and the cotyledons finally started opening, though looks a bit sickly at the moment.

I’ll give her a few more days, but she might be salvageable.

The cup with the bag over it is the Lucid Dreams x Hells Kitchen, and I’m seeing her push through.

I also set up a 2nd humidifier in this tent. I suspect I’m going to struggle controlling the humidity until they really start to veg, but I go in every so often and spritz everything down with a spray bottle at the moment.

So I think I did save that gorilla, though I hope she won’t be stunted.

2 days ago:

I put a soda bottle covering over her to raise humidity and hope that it would get the cotyledons to split. Seemed like it was working this morning:

Then, when I went to refill the humidifiers, I took another peek:

True leaves are coming in, cotyledons are turning green, and she seems like she’s starting to take off.

Hoping by tomorrow that she’s opened up completely.

The 3 widows and 2 gorillas are jamming this early stage out like rockstars:

The silver alert in the cup in the center of everything hasn’t popped out yet.

Lucid dreams still has her helmet on, but it’s split and she’s standing up firm.

The top gorilla here is starting to pull through, and the one I planted on Saturday has lost its helmet but is starting off pretty small, too.

Overall this is turning into a nice start I think.

So far everything seems well with those that sprouted, though I do have some slight concerns for the last gorilla that popped up.

I removed the humidity dome from the third strawberry gorilla (top right) and placed it over the silver alert cup.

The bottom gorilla in the fabric pot is doing the 90 degree stress bend like one of the widows was:

Hopefully she’ll straighten out. No sign of the Silver Alert yet. The Lucid Dreams photo will hopefully lose its helmet in the next day or 2, but it may need some assistance.

Overall, we doing good :)

The girls all seem to be doing well. The Silver Alert entered the arena, the last 2 gorillas are starting to look better, and the Lucid Dreams is picking up as well.

The bottom gorilla has straightened up, but I’m going to keep the humidity cover on her for another day or 2.

The one above her seems to be starting to grow a little bigger. I removed the cover on her, but may put one back if the growth doesn’t pick up.

The silver alert lost its helmet (by me, but it was barely hanging on and took zero effort to gently knock it off):

Getting excited about this grow :)
