HI Blowin- Take a look at the faq and around some of the forum. try to do a search on cfl. Yoiu can use flouro but need to keep the plants lows or have lots of light around the sides. By the time you finish buying all those bulbs though you could get a hps already. can get hps bulbs for 40usd, basic hood and mag ballast prob another 100usd? light is the most important ingredient after genetics. If you have more questions please take it over to basic growin thread and will be happy to help there as will all the other great members here, i am sure.

Thanks HT. These clips are really fun, not sure at the end of the day they are as good as old school string, but we shall see. And they are deff. easier than messing around with tieing up string. last grow was rediculous with string all over the place.

They are called Bendz and right now only place that i know that has them is Progrow hydro in uk. They will ship world wide i believe.

Hempy buckets are looking little bit droopy... maybe i am watering too much? I am worried about the water in the bottom of the buckets being too warm... Obviously plants in the system look much happier. Next go around i am going to modify the system little bit to spread the buckets out more but besides that really can not complain about this setup. Compared to the hempys plants seem much bigger and happier.

Just started the bloom nutes today... i really hope these finish quick, gonna be out of kind bud very soon, then will be back to the "land race" till harvest...

Also got tent number three going yesterday with some clones and some usa xxx og bag seed... will start to germ some nyc hp 13 tomorrow...

not a good day at the farm today... screwed up my clones and had to throw most away. also, hempy bucket plants are still looking hella sad and droopy. frankly they are making me feel sad and droopy. not sure what this issue is as this is my first time with hempys... still really warm in the hempy tent... may try a little h202 tomorrow... i think problem is either over watering or heat or root issues... will try h202 tomorrow and then some rhizo and cannazyme day or two later.

Anyone else have a quantum ballast they are running on 240v? This thing is driving me crazy!! Really wish i had bought another Lumatek instead... Really finicky, i dont know if it is the 240v cord or if it is the ballast itself, but half the time it will not turn on if i use my timer and relay, then if i try and plug it direct into the wall it will not stay firmly in when in the horizontal position. Right now i have it working with the relay plugged direct into the wall, no timer. The timer i have is not broken though. I have new different timer coming soon, maybe that will be better. Lumatek ballast works fine with this timer and this set up, so really frustrated. Gonna get another lumatek and keep the quantum as emergency back up i guess... sorry for ot ramble...

1 week flower and all lights set up

I need to get a better camera. Plants look much better in real life than in these pics. Also I am loving the cool tube. Heard so much bad that had low expectations but love how light it is.

looking good bro!

only bad thing about cooltubs is there is no way to open them up conveniently to clean them - only takes about 10 days before your lumens start to drop off from the dust inside the glass...

Thanks for the info RJ, will keep an eye out for that. I did put in a prefilter in the intake so hopefully that will cut down on the soot. Also just used one pc of tape to attach left side tube, so it would be easier to open and get in for bulb changes and cleaning. Girls are LOVIN the light, amazng they got so far along on a 250w flouro set up.

Can't wait to see how it turns out - been trying to convince my buddy to try this strain, and he says he'll do it if I pony up the $200 for seeds lol.

well, that is the rub, the seed prices are very high, if they were 100 dollars i would probably order 400 dollars worth, but at 200 a pack this only pack i have gotten from him so far.

Anyway, here are some updates- 2 hempy girls and 4 girls in the ebb and flo system.

I think i figured out what i was doing wrong with the hempy buckets. Long story short have been feeding just an hour or two before lights out because of my schedule. I think if i start to feed earlier, when lights first come on, they will not get so droopy.

All the girls are doing well and got the ec up to 1.5-1.6 now in both buckets and system. Started boost last week. Gave a little cal mag this week to fortify for the weeks ahead and also started with little bit of pk 13-14. I know it is early, but i think giving it early helps push earlier budding. Expecting/Hoping to harvest end january.

They dont look droopy in last pics because they are at end of two day dry cycle. That is when they look best, but after feeding they are way droopy until totally dry out. the girls in the ebb and flo system way perkier.
