Always run a seedling and 2 rounds of clones off her to get a true feel, imo

Most of the time my seed plants r way bigger yielders with nice size colas.. Then the clone run will have smaller tighter colas & my cuts will never yield like that mega 1st seedling run.. But the quality of the bud will b different..

I'm not sure if u member my Lemon Alien Dawg grow & the 1st run I had huge foot long top colas that were sativa like.. There were a few different lookin phenos & I picked 2 killer phenos 2 keep & I was gunna toss 3 that were hella sativa light & fluffy buds<< I didn't like those 3 one bit.. But all 5 plants were big & healthy so I ran them again.. The 2nd run blew me away b'cuz now I couldn't tell the difference between each pheno << all were dead on the same but the difference was the smell & taste.. I ended up keeping one of the plants I was gunna toss.. I would of tossed the keeper..

Now I try & run anything 2 times 2 see if I want it & by the 3rd run she should b dialed in.. Like True OG my 1st run gave me a Lil 1/2 oz plant of fire ass buds but I didn't give up & the 2nd run gave the same & I almost gave up on her.. I ran her a 3rd time & I'm starting 2 dial her in.. Now she give 2oz plants<< & that's all I'm asking 4 is a 2oz plant in a 3 gal smart pot.. 16 plants at 2oz each = 2 a light..

I've never actually noticed how many fingers my plants have.. I'll start 2 count my true og fingers & see.. My Lil face off bx2 seedlings were almost a foot tall & my tent was gettin out of hand so I had 2 cut all my plants back.. I took off about 1/2 the plant when I topped the Bx2's.. They were pretty big they have been in these Lil cups almost 2months.. I'm trying 2 rootbound stress them 2 show sex.. But they won't show anything.. I'm gunna juss transplant them..

I'm guessing the male used in this cross is solid as fuck b'cuz I've stressed the shit out of these plants (heat,over fead,under fead,rootbound,low light, & sometimes no water) & still they won't show sex..Whoa this is a solid line<< I've seen this b4 with BOG's work no matter what I do the plant won't stress out & show sex.. It's got 2 b from a bad ass male used...

Most of the face off bx2 leafs r thinning out.. There not so short & indica lookin the blades r longer more sativa or OG like.. Here r a few different face off bx2 leafs

With the money you spend on jars you should invest in some good lil containers. ;) Those keg cups shape your plant to be spindly and tall due to container shape somewhat. You wouldn't have to bend or try to widen your plants so much if you used a 4" container or 6" container, imo

LOL!!! I had 2 do it doggie..

I have a nice collection of smart pots & usually only keep the clones in beer cups for a few weeks (2-3) but I like 2 put my new seed plants threw hell b4 I run um.. I want 2 have a Lil confidence there solid b4 I risk fucking up my whole run.. I rootbound stress them in the Lil cups & most of the time they show sex.. I'm gunna put these in 1-2 gal smart pots soon.. Here is my collection of smart pots. & I'm using 18 (3gal) smart pots in my flower tent 2.. I spent 2 much on pots<< I have a problem

Hey MG I've read that keeping seedling in smaller containers to long can increase your male/female ratio. Not sure how true that is just a heads up

I've read that 2 & other people have told me its bad but that's how I've did it always & I get 50/50 male/female
I'm always super late on transplant..LOL My buds make me 2 lazy..

Face Off bx2

Here is 1 of the happy seedlings finally transplanted in2 bigger pots.. I like how this 1 grows & I'm 95% sure it a male.. I'm gettin pretty good at guessing the boys early.. Every plant I've liked as a Lil seedling has turned out 2 b male..LOL I got a good eye 4 picking nice lookin studs..LOL Everytime this happens 2 me & everytime I get super mad.. But maybe juss maybe it's nature telling me this is the stud 2 breed with? Maybe this stud will make killer babies?

Good to hear its working out for you MG. Maybe its a myth, wanted to give u a heads up about it. BTW the babies are looking good. I like to take cutting off of mines when they're small and flower the clones to see what they are quicker. I just hate vegging to long

I'm a small grower so my ways work 4 me but r never recommend 4 any1.. I always break all the growing rules when I grow<< not on purpose always on accedent but it works out.. I'm sure on a large scale grow my small mistakes would kick me in the ass..
I also hate growing these males & I should of took cuts when I cloned my flowering strains 2 weeks ago.. I don't have mother plants I clone from clones & when I flower I take many cuts from the same plant being flowered b'cuz that's it I have no other plants of that strain.. So I fill up the clone tray with many extra cuts off the flowering strains.. Everytime I clone I'm afraid this is the time I will lose it all..but everytime every cut roots & I have way 2 many of the same strain..LOL I have killer clone rates but I'd say its my weakest part of my game.. I hate cloneing..

If none of the cuts root within 2 weeks I will pull that strain from the flower tent & reveg her ASAP

I find that keeping plants in party cups too long, can increases the time it takes to determine sex. I mean to me, the faster and bigger you can get your plants, the faster they show sex. It's stunts them to keep them root bound but at the same time a lot of us don't have room for bigger containers while waiting to cull. Without stress, you can't see how reliable they are. If you are simply looking for sex, I wouldn't stress them.

I also have the opposite theory when it comes to male/female. I think stressing them can be good and here's why. I believe they will show their true sex that way. Why find out later a particular female has male traits, hermie? If she is going to show it, she will show it from stress. There is also another problem, the late flowering hermies at the end of harvest. The Chemdog D cut loves to throw a few nanners here and there at the end of the cycle. I think it's better to have less females than a bunch of females that are prone to changing into dudes.

That is just my take on the subject.

I like 2 highly stress a new seedling 2 see how stable she is.. I'll put her threw every stress I can think of when there young & in cups..if the plants has any issues I'll toss her early b4 flowering starts..
