You had one new root there
perfect. That is good to know. And that kind of info is why I yanked it :p.

May be the reason it dies thoughperfect. That is good to know. And that kind of info is why I yanked it :p.
Lol no no... its fine.Ok I calibrated it perfectly. Did a few test runs with it. Returned back to the calibration solution and it still seems off. I really don’t trust this POS.
It’s saying my res is around 5.4-5.5 though.
also. Is this ph down as bad as the guy said? He said it’ll eat through concrete and warned me not to get any on my hands as if it’s pure poison.
When you put it back into the calibration solution how far out was it?
The soil will adjust the ph. May want to mix seperate nutes next time thoughSo my hydro girls should be happy then?
Soil ones I’ll have a tad higher of a ph.
Yeah your good thereim showing pics of it.
Now that I look. Not much at all. The 4.0 was almost bang on.
the 6.86 read as 7.1 so that’s off by like 5% almost.

Great point I think you want 25c water temp for calibration. Some have auto adjustment but not sure I would trust that on a cheap meter.are you sure the temperature of the water is as pointed on the packaging?

Would have put the container in a bath of warmer water. I cant say for certain but should be okYes. Although I don’t see why it matters. Every 5 degree temperature change is hardly even a significant difference in the ph of the solution. 20-30 range is damn close.
but yeah. I cheated and added a tiny bit of hot tap water (non distilled) to get the temperature from 21 to 25c. This caused my solution to be around 40ppm. Hope thats ok.
Much less impact full than adding tap water... but live and learnA 40 degree temp difference and it doesn’t even drift by one tenth. It’s a swing of like .04 each way. Sure isn’t much
And now ya have a ph pen... Definitely better than nothing bro.Yeah looking back I could of dealt with 20c easily. 6.86 versus 6.88. Close enough for me. Oops. I only added a tiny amount. Maybe 1:20 or less to warm it up a little.
