I never used a moisture pack. Never needed to so far.
I kept mine hanging for 4-7 days at 68f and 50% RH.
After that paper bags for a couple days in same room and then in jars.
I don't " burp" my jars at all.
I use the little RH meters in every jar and open the jar if the RH is 65% or higher.
Once the meter says 60% in an open jar, I seal it again and watch.
Just my way.
I know my orange velvet and crescendo smelled horrible before cure. Like cheese and body odor!
They are wonderful now.
