You are so right about the potential pheno differences. I'm seeing that on my first grow as well. Looking great, man. Well done managing these two crazy girls. 👍

I have had this experience on my first grow too. I'm getting ready to post an update, take a look at the differences in my 4 plants on the overview photo. Two in the back got real tall, even though I had them even at flip. The one on the right front is a shorty and while she looks to be as tall as the one on the left, I have her on a thick book and a 2" drainage riser, for a total of about 6". This short plant is also noticeably different in structure and color, a deeper, more olive green. It might be hard to tell in the photos, but the flowers are slightly different as well. Interesting to watch for sure.

Hey Amoknewb, did you ever think of pinching those stems that are stretching and bending them over to 90 degrees? I think they have a name for it, but can't remember. You basically pinch the stem and crush the inner fibers. After you work it a bit, it will bend over without breaking. I wonder if that might be a solution for your tall girl. Kinda scary sounding but there are a lot of videos of guys doing it online. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me might have suggestions too!

I have thought about it and is it super cropping? Or just HST? The problem is there is no place to do that so she doesn’t block some other major flower sites. And there is about 4-5 sites I would have to do that for. So I’m hoping she stops the vertical growth now since she is in obvious flower, but, if she hits the light I’ll have no choice. 🥺

I really think it is lack of good breeding by the breeder. This is too big a difference in my opinion for the price of the seeds. Live and learn! I will be using a different breeder for my next run and see if that makes a difference. I have some seeds from RQS, Nirvana, seedsman, and one other breeder I think resin seeds out of the east coast?. Been pondering what or which to do next.

I recently worked out a purchase with @Poekie here at the Farm who is over in Spain. I have found him to be a great guy and his prices are very reasonable. I had found a thread here at the Farm where many members had bought seeds from him and had written some very nice testimonies. I am still waiting on the final order and what is included because Poekie is looking over his inventory to get me seeds that are close to what I am looking for. I'll let you know what we came up with if interested.

Yeah this is the second time I have heard that name in almost as many days. I am definitely keeping him in mind for my next purchases. I have about 10 different strains I need to get through first. 😜

Day 53: So woke up checked in garden like usual, yup just like in my garden picture there is my fan that apparently had fallen in the night on River. 😢 I am pretty sure she will be fine, just sucks.

Besides that River is still growing like crazy and flowering at her own damn pace. But she seems to be liking everything I give her and is super resilient, as we can attest to by the fan on her head.

Clara is doing all she can considering she is a foot shorter and getting really crowded. I have been keeping rivers rogue arms away from her as best as I can. But other than those heat and or cal mag spots on some leaves she is trucking along just fine. I went to inspect some flower sites for any anomalies l, and accidentally full on grabbed a flower. I can now tell you she is already ultra sticky and smelling great. I cannot pick out any real defining smells yet, as she pretty much just smells like normal so far.

Cleaned my pumps and reservoir yesterday and checked it this morning. Without the terpinator in it, it is again nice and clear and holding a steady PH. With the caveat of the known PH creep over time. She went from 5.8-5.9 yesterday to 6.01. So that is excellent. Dropped my feeding times by 20ish seconds yesterday as well. I noticed I was getting way more run-off than needed. This also should allow me to go a lot longer without topping up and saving me some money.

Well I have a busy day today with having a show tonight and work. So, that’s all I got today folks! Have an excellent day/night and we will update again tomorrow.

Day 54: I didn’t really do much at all yesterday. Maybe took a lollipop off here and there from River. Tucked some leaves and pruned a couple leaves.

Checked reservoir this morning and it was at 6.31 PH. I lowered that down to 5.85 and left it. I will probably make some nutrients this after noon just to keep the reservoir full.

River has survived the great fan calamity of yesterday. 🥸 But, River has once again grown into ALL of her space allotted. She is about 3-4 inches from the Spider Farmer SF-4000. I’m just going to let her hit the light at this point, as I have no where to bend any branches until Clara is finished.

Speaking of Clara… I added a few pictures of a couple leaves, I thought it might be light stress, and I guess it still could be.
Especially with that Kessil H80 on her. But anyone else Have any ideas?

My PH has been stellar between 5.8 and highest 6.3. I feed 5 times a day for a minute each. Might be overkill but I know I am getting plenty of runoff. They are in 70/30 Coco/Perl with a light schedule of 20/4. I have not tested runoff as I am not super concerned about it with all the run off I have. I am feeding an EC of anywhere from 1200 - 1300 depending on what I feel they are craving and or need. I can try turning both light intensities down today and see if it helps and either way if it is a nutrient issue I have read that turning the lights down a bit can help slow any problems and give you more time to fix.

Ok this is a long post. Thanks for reading and visiting my diary have an awesome day!

Day 55: Another mostly hands off and boring day yesterday and today.

River seems to have stopped just a few inches from the lights but the other flower sites are catching up to those. She is flowering a bit more slowly as far as new flower growth a bit slower than Clara did it seems, but honestly at this point it is hard to say for sure.

Clara is still getting more spots on her leaves. But, she is still packing on the flower and some flower sites are starting to stack up. She is definitely frosty and the smell is getting a bit more pungent. It quickly fills the entire basement once I open up a tent flap. All new growth on her is lookin pretty good though.

I did forget to try and turn down the lights yesterday, but I will try to remember to do that today and see if that helps.

As for the reservoir I topped it off with 6 gallons of all flowering nutrients recipe. It is starting to get a bit cloudy today but the PH was at 6.1 so I left it for now. Either today or tomorrow I will make a batch of flowering nutrients with terpinator (got a bunch left). I will have to clean my reservoir after that is all used up. 😢

Considering everything I learned and experimented with I still feel everything is going as best as it can for now. Especially with my two completely different phenos of the supposedly the same plant. Again, next run I think I will just run one plant and fill the tent with that.

Ok farmers have a great day and enjoy!

This has me concerned for your grow Bro. I wonder, has @Aqua Man or one of the other experts chimed in about that? I would try to get whatever is causing that solved.

No not yet, but, don’t think diaries get as much attention as asking in the infirmary forum. Which I might have to do. I’m still convinced it is heat/light stress but what do I know. 😜 I will post up in the other help forums this afternoon just to get some opinions. Thanks for taking the time to check out my diary though @SweetLeafGrow it is always nice to get some reactions and comments.

Lowered my main lights by 10% to 70%. Also lowered my IR/UV by 50% to 50%. Let’s see if that helps some over next day or so. That will also lower the temps in there so that might be ok as well.

Imo coco drain to waste doesn't need more that 800 ppm cal mag about 100-150ppm and not needed if using tap.

Check runoff ppm and ph. I have a feeling your heading into a lockout. High humidity microclimates may also be playing a role here.

I would add that in 70/30 coco pearlite u shouldn’t go over 6.1 ph and also do you have co2 augmentation? I use 70/30 also and my ppm can reach 1600-1800 but i have co2 augmentation of 1200-1500and i keep my ph around 5.9 or 6

100% co2 will require higher ppm and or lower humidity. Co2 increases photosynthetic efficiency and actually will lower transpiration rates which in turn equates to less nutrient uptake. This needs addressed because the plants actually grow faster and thus need more nutrients. But it also makes water efficiency much higher. So by increasing ppm and or lowering humidity you compensate for this. But since humidity plays a vital role in stomatal conductance you don't want to lower it to much and a higher ppm is often the way to go.

I run pretty much 5.6 in veg. Early flower 5.8 and about 6 mod to late flower

Your plants look good your lucky bc GC only sells f2 strains that are not stable, i grew 2 blueberry was completely unstable and would not flower the other was female but would not flower, so i cut the light cycle to 12 12 and got lucky, if your gonna run autoflowers try Methisto you get no bs. This auto is 10 weeks old should be done but it still has a way to go, skip GC there hit or miss.
