Before i startd running 9 lights i only had 2x 1000w hps,1× 600whps,and a 8tube,4ft t5 and i was on a budget..$40 month,ea month all yr long...so i highly doubt it can get cheaper then that..i run 9 lights now(8× 1000hps)and 1× 600hps and i run a motorcycle repair shop..my elctric is only $325 month...doubt u can beat that

i run 6 x 600w ballasts on one 20 amp breaker with room to spare and also have had no issue with 4x 1000w gavita on a 20 amp breaker although i prefer to only have 3 per 20 amp.
thats not true.1 1000w ballast and an ac(10,000 btu will flicker if its on one circuit.the ac is 8.7 amps..

600w draws about 5 amps @ 120v and 2.5 @ 240v if you run a 1000w @ 120v it will draw just over 8 amps,thats why most smart growers use 240v for hid lighting

that boat anchor lol.1000w div by 240v is pretty basic stuff here.1000w / 240v =4.1 amp so if you have a decent digital ballast @ 94 -95% power factor you are still around 5 amps maybe and 10 @ 120v,but like i said most growers use 240v for a 1000w ballast. even at 120v you should be around 8.3 to 9 amps not 11.i would chuck that thing and grab something from this decade  i run 6 x 600w ballasts on one 20 amp breaker with room to spare and also have had no issue with 4x 1000w gavita on a 20 amp breaker although i prefer to only have 3 per 20 amp.

've been an electrician since 91
then u kno all this is bullshit...

I just kind of stick to the questions and not get in the drama
I have too much drama
five-year-old twins and electrical business and a 70 light operation going on at two spots
My plate is full
