I topped the 1st one that I started early. It's definitely a strain that didn't like starting early here. The top is looking good tho.

Well we reached 111 degrees today! It's 110 rn I'm surprised the plants are doing so good!! I water good for over night, CK them every morning by 7am. About noonish the tops are a tiny bit limp. Prob should CK again at 11 am. I'm dreading going outside these days! But I do it for the girls Here's the 2 Purple Haze.
Should I be defoliating the one in the raised bed already?

I wouldn’t defoliate till flower gets rolling! One of the jobs of shade leaves is to actually shade, tender, new bud sites! And that might not be a bad thing at 110°! And you’re not in mold country! At least until the monsoonal moisture takes a crack at you!

Oh goodie!! TY!! I kept looking down in there.. Lol... wondering where would I start & if it was even needed in this dry land... I'm not wanting to mess w/ this 1 at all. Just feed, water, look for bugs & let her bloom where she's planted
Monsoons have skipped us multiple years so Any moisture would be appreciated Especially since the wild animal visits We'd all be happy for a bit more than 3/8" ;)
1 of the last 'monsoonal moisture' year, I had mushrooms grow on a porch haha & loved it ;) rare nature fun lol
I did experience bud rot in a bud last year...

Wow electric was off 3.5 hrs
About to think I needed to panic for what tomorrow has... Freezers! I Laid the law down~ No body opens any frig or freezer At All!

TY We got thru it! no body fainted!
As long as no one panics, it's easier to handle emergencies. Hubby hasn't slept well sense tho, he might of gotten over heated :(
I had my 1st THC drink & in the shade, patio bbq... And told hubby and daughter..We are having a picnic! LOL
I stayed up toking and writing a letter by candlelight! LOL until the power came back on... It was actually off from 6:10-10:25 pm. 4 ish hrs. It's been worse!
We went right under 100 & now haven't gone over 104 for the 2nd day Very extreme temp fluctuations! I'm cooking outdoors till these temps calm down! I guess we'll be carnivores for now hahaha
Canna plants are doing well. Found 2 baby inch worms on the Northern Lights auto. I'll take a pics this evening. I moved them around, Purple Haze 2 & Puffinz 2 needed more room.

Man, you reminded me... 1 x I opened a box of clay 50lbs.
2 - 25lb blocks of clay, pulled 1 block out & there were 2 baby gila monsters in the box - growling & hissing at me!!
I threw that box with the other 25lbs in it..So Fast away from me! Hahaha They'd hitched a ride all the way from Southern Cali to NM What a shocker! That hissing tho eeek lmao

Sometimes they will grow male parts and seed themselves! Or pollen can be carried in on the wind, insects, or by animal! You have to be aware of neighbors and be vigilant when inspecting your plants! Checking for bananas when you’re in flower. I had a plant a long time ago that had one single branch, throwing balls! The entire rest of the plant was female! They can be sneaky!

Thanks for the advice, Oldchucky! That’s really helpful. I’ll definitely keep a closer eye on my plants and check for any signs of bananas or stray pollen. I didn’t realize how easily pollen could travel I’ll be more vigilant about nearby growers too. Appreciate the tip!

This is the Northern lights auto. It was ready: 13 wks in
I got so tired of the caterpillars. Been picking them off daily like crazy.
On all my plants!
I can't even cook a+ cos my mind is on the plants. Constantly. LOL
Sprayed BT at 8pm tonight. My Purple Haze hasn't been bud rotted at all. My White Runtz & Puffinz has.
I'm smoking white widow with tobacco rn. I don't like this weather But sucking it up. Next year probably gonna be worse.
Living to give the big finger to weather modification warfare & get a few buds ...
