Your plants look good, but the quantities of gypsum and rock dust aren't per gallon. They're per pot. You also didn't list Epsom salt, which adds magnesium. Be sure to amend it before and during the first few weeks of flowering. I prefer to add it to the water. One tablespoon per gallon is recommended.
You’re right about the epsom I didn’t see it said per gallon, also when I was running rh is when shaded was active I remember updating the recipe we changed it to 2 tbs epsom 2 tbs gypsum I believe

I’ll look back I may even still have the PM between me and shaded about us talking about it back then

Oh damn i was certain it was per gallon when mixing and then per pot when top dressing. Yes i intended to mix epsom salt in my water at week 2, and then biweekly from there.

This way of growing is such low maintenance im loving it. hoping flower goes well!

Thanks

Thanks. I'm interested in knowing what was decided, too.

I doubt you'll have a problem. Organic growing is forgiving. Just watch to see how the plants respond. Chances are they'll be fine.

I've found that the plants have a high demand for nutrients, especially magnesium, while stretching and early flower. I've seen some research that indicates the reason has to do with the LED light spectrum. That may be changing with the newer lights, though. It wouldn't hurt, however, to water in some Epsom salt (1 tbsp per gallon) before flipping the light. Excess magnesium usually isn't a big problem.

Will definitely add epsom salt earlier than i planned then.

In my previous grow (using bottled nutes) i had massive magnesium problems with my plants during the first 3 weeks of flower as i was increasing my light intensity (ACI Evo 8). I definitely dont want that to happen again.

I had the same problem with bottled nutrients, aka synthetic nutrients. This is a big part of the appeal of organic growing.

Hahaha that brings back memories! A few years ago when I was figuring out my style I did the exact same thing with epsom and gypsum per gallon instead of pot 🤣
Not only on the initial amending, but also on the top dresses lol

I use a TBLSP of Epsom Salts per gallon of water, every watering. Along with Gaia Green 4-4-4, and Azomite.

I started out 1 TSP per gallon, for seedlings, in RO water, and 18oz Solo cups. Magnesium is extremely important. Quickly used up by marijuana, and is one of, if not the #1 container growing plant deficiency. Weed, is also a Mg hungry plant.

Day 7 of flower, growing has never been so easy!

Plants are happy and so am I.

Next watering im top dressing 25% 4-4-4 and 75% 2-8-4 with some epsom salt and EWC.

Had to switch to tap water. I now use 1 tsp gallon epsom salts.

I'm now at day 51 of flower.

I have 3 different strains in my tent, one of them (anniversary cake) needed much more food than the others. They turned yellow fast at dah 20ish of flower and their buds grew slow.

Top dressing didn't help since plants wouldnt get immediate access to nutrients anyway.
Next grow I will top dress every 2 weeks with smaller doses instead of the 3-4 weeks recommended.

Here are some bud shots of both my Cherrylicious phenos

Learned a lot this grow. Loved it

Hello and welcome to my "Growing with Gaia Green" guide! Figured I would just make a post that can be referenced instead of constantly writing this out in DM's or threads. Gaia Green products are 100% organic dry amendments for cannabis use. They are a Canadian based company but they also sell their product in the USA as well. They have a lot of products to offer and you may find a specific use for some of them due to your variables but I am just going to focus on what I personally use in my stack.

Sprout phase, ~1 week: NO nutrients are being added to the growing medium. Earth worm castings & cotyledons provide more than enough nutrition for the first 2 weeks of a seeds life
-transplant to 1gallon-
Early veg phase, 4 weeks: amend 3tbsp of 100% All Purpose 4-4-4 per gallon of medium eg. 3tbsp of 4-4-4 for a 1gallon container
Late veg phase if needed, 4 weeks: top dress 3tbsp of 100% All Purpose 4-4-4 per gallon of medium eg. 3tbsp of 4-4-4 for a 1 gallon container
-transplant to 5gallon-
Early flower phase, 1 week before flipping lights: amend 3tbsp of 50% All Purpose 4-4-4 and 50% Power Bloom 2-8-4 per gallon of medium eg. 8tbsp of 4-4-4 and 8tbsp of 2-8-4 for a 5gallon container
Mid flower phase, week 3 or 4 of flower: top dress 3tbsp of 25% All Purpose 4-4-4 and 75% Power Bloom 2-8-4 per gallon of medium eg. 4tbsp of 4-4-4 and 12tbsp of 2-8-4 for a 5gallon container
Late flower phase, sativa plants: if you have a sativa plant chances are they may need an additional weeks of growing time so you could do a light top dress 2tbsp of 100% Power Bloom 2-8-4 per gallon of medium eg. 10tbsp of 100% Power Bloom 2-8-4 for a 5gallon container
-harvest-

This is the basic feed schedule and this is a FULL STRENGTH feeding regiment meaning you are pushing your plant pretty hard. Certain strains and different growing environments may mean that you might only need to use 2/3 of what I have here for amounts. I recommend starting off with 2/3 of what is listed and increasing to full amounts if you're certain that your plants can handle it.

Additional supplements that I use are:

Mycorrhizae
I generously dust the root ball EVERY time I transplant and I also add a couple scoops into my soil mix any time I amend some soil to be going into a new container. Do not underestimate your rhizosphere

Epsom Salts - Magnesium Sulfate
LEDs increase the demand for Mg and this helps cover that demand. Overall plant health and nutrient uptake seems to improve when adding 1tbsp of Epsom Salt every 2 weeks

Gypsum - Calcium Sulfate
Decreases soil salinity and improves soil structure while also providing Calcium and Sulfate. 1tbsp of Gypsum every 2 weeks

Rock Dust Blend - micronutrients and humic acid
Used primarily to supplement micronutrients that may be lacking. Overall plant health and lushness improved since I started adding 2tbsp every 2 weeks

Pretty much once you get started you are either amending or top dressing in 4 week blocks, adding supplemental nutrients every 2 weeks, and then you just water your plants. Good luck and happy growing!
Hey I'm attempting a sog grow using Gaia green top dressing I'm gonna put 25 to 30 plants in my 4x4 what gallon size would u pick out of 1-3 gallons I'm only vegging for 2 weeks

Id use a bed for that many plants.better rootspace, way less watering.

Can't afford a bed at the moment and watering isn't an issue got all my irrigation set up already with timers etc so my question still stands which size of gallon would be best with a very short veg

That mix was always really a good base to start with in organic I tweaked it a ton as I ran it with awesome results

Defenitly agree with the epsom salt dosage per pot lol

I think I upped it a bit but I also increased the feed rates in initial mixes with the 2-8-4 and 4-4-4 on top dresses

You have to determine how Wide each pot is. A 3 gallon pot is what? 10-12 inches across?
At that rate one could barely cram 16 containers in a 4 x 4, if 10 inches, and it would really be about 2 inches, to big. 16 x 10 inch containers would be 40in x 40in.
One gallon container is about 8 inches. One could cram 36 1 Gallon containers in a 4 x 4.

Hey bud, you can see my yields from my last grows in my journal!

~736g from the 4x4 with 600w (SF4000 + 150w quantum board)
~639g from the closet with 400w (SE3000 + 100w quantum board)

48.5oz
3lbs
That's awesome how many plants per light do u have ?

Unfortunately I haven’t seen shaded around in a year or 2,

I can attest to his recipe on the Gaia, I tweaked it over the years until I switched to living soil but that Gaia can throw out the bangers

Could u answer me this when he talks about micro nutrients does he mean 1 tbsp per gallon or per 5 gallon
