Are you saying the trichomes are amber?
It looks 2 to 3 weeks away in the photos.
How long in flower?
You should have 2 to 3 weeks to go
Amazon has a great hand scope for inspection
Get something
Start looking at week 7 and then keep watching every couple of days
You will start seeing what everyone is describing to you
This is my favorite time during a grow!!
Payday!!

To make it easier for you, the ripening process usually starts with the pistils changing orange/red/brown (depending on the strain), then they appear to recede into the bud when in fact the buds are now swelling up and putting on weight,
once you see most of the pistils looking like that it is a good time to check trichs (assuming you both to).
trichs can be misleading as they can change amber from other reasons besides for just ripening (strong fan, touching sides of tent/other plants, rough handling). That said, check trichs on buds not leaves using a jeweler's loop around the middle of your plant to get an overall sense of ripeness.

Also sometimes the best course is to harvest in sections, if the tops cola's are ripe but the mid/lowers need more time you can do a partial harvest (assuming you have the space)

I would say 4 maybe more weeks based on the first post

Too be honest, that looks like it needs 2-3 maybe 5 weeks yet.

Mostly white hairs with , umm I can’t see them , no swelling.

Enjoy and good luck
Wow. 5?! I'm patient so thats cool. I just want to be able to get it right and get better at deciphering when it "time".

If you want to get it right you want to buy a magnifying scope. Something like this

Going off just the pistil(hairs) color is not gonna be all that reliable.

Patients is the biggest thing for any indoor grower.

As some have stated , the calyx begins to swell and on some , like @Trustfall many genetics.

Check his thread out.

Every plant looks different, but do a very similar thing.

There is so much potential in flowers at the end , you don’t want to miss it.

I do enjoy the journey. I think its just amazing what can happen from one tiny seed. Here are some pics i took about an hour ago...

Ideally when checking trichomes for ripeness, you'd check the trichomes on the bracht on the underside of a bud. Keep an eye on the brachts, because when the plant is getting close to done, they will swell up big time.

The trichomes on sugar leaves don't give a great indication of ripeness.

Looking good tho. It is a bit that is considered. How many plants are you running? Maybe try to do one at the "peak" time then let one go for a bit longer and see if you notice a diffrence either way.
I'm running 3 plants. Different weeks but all in flower. I may try that next time. The learning curve with these plants is alot! I'm enjoying the adventure. Lol. Cant learn without making some mistakes 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m right where you’re at bro. I’m week 6 day 3 into my flower and I would say I have a few weeks to go my trichs aren’t even cloudy yet. Def invest in a microscope to check your tricks for a more accurate harvest time.
They look great!!. I'm so jealous!! I cant get my temps and humidity right for mine to change colors. Smh. I have a magnifying glass but i think i need a better one. I was told i need one that goes like 60x or more.

70% amber? Generally you want between 10-20% amber at harvest. 70% man that sounds like 1 hit and pass the fuck out till the next day 🤣 🤣 🤣

If I haven't said it before, Howdy, and welcome to the Farm! 🤠

Yeah generally you want all your trichomes to be cloudy and not clear, with 10 to 20% amber trichomes, that's usually the queue for chop time.
I'm new, 3rd post, and about to have my 3rd harvest.. Came here looking for the same information.

I bought some flower to guage how potent mine was to a dispensary.. Mine is not that potent.

My second harvest all trichomes were either milky white/cloudy.. and some amber..

My question to you sir, the more amber the more potency?

Again I'm learning, and it doesn't help me growing several varitys at once. Will not be doing that on the fourth round.

I have two plants that hit autumn while others have green but you can see them drying up.

Just looking to know when is the perfect time for potency and flavor.. my ladies are currently on water w/ general hydroponics RIPEN with slf100 and hydroguard.

somehow, looking at your pics, I don't think it will be a problem at all. Just make sure that you dry/ cure proper.....
