Over pruning can cause small buds. If you’ve cut off too many leaves, you have less growth.

You’ll get smaller buds and slower growth.
Think of it like a cucumber plant. If the leaves are small or get less light, then your cucumbers are small too.

I’ve noticed a buddy of mine who enjoyed lolipopping so much that he would strip his plants to bare minimum foliage. He was left with stretched out node groups, smaller buds (but potent by end product), less bud and no spiraling/stacking as his groups were further away.

In flower, anything you cut won’t grow back. Pruning is best left for veg if aggressive. Very light pruning in flower (or none at all) is best.

More leaves mean more bud and bigger bud with faster growth rate.
