Help me figure percentage of each for my soil mix?



This is what I have



Potting soil

Worm castings

Top soil

Perlite

Sand

Bone meal

My mix from those would be:

Potting soil 60%

Worm castings 8%

Top soil 0%

Perlite 30%

Sand 0%

Bone meal 2%

Not complete by far.

Don't use the topsoil........ it contains alot of bugs and insect eggs, etc. Do a search on here for supersoil and follow their advice.

Dose that include bagged store bought top soil too?

50% Peat moss (Pro-Mix)
25% Coco fiber
25% Compost or EWC
2 TBS Dolomite Lime per 3.75 liters of soil (1 gallon)
Add about 20 to 30% perlite to this.

then

2 TBS Blood meal or High N guano
1 TBS Bone meal or High P guano
1 TBS Kelp meal
1 TBS Rock Powder

All of these are per gallon

Quick and easy and you can buy it all at Lowes, Home Depot or avariety of other garden centers in >North America.

I want to grow them out in 3 gal pots only, will I be OK all the way through?

1 TBS Kelp meal
1 TBS Rock Powder

and this one for flower.

1TBS Blood meal or High N guano
2 TBS Bone meal or High P guano
1 TBS Kelp meal
1 TBS Rock Powder

Just add water and molasses. From start to finish. People will tell you you need this and that butfor a basic start to finish grow with no problems......this is it.

Switch the mixes at transplant.

So there no way around growing them all the way through in the 3 gal pots?

Ya....mix a balanced mix

2 TBS Blood meal or High N guano
2 TBS Bone meal or High P guano
2 TBS Kelp meal
2 TBS Rock Powd

If you need more nutrients you could always top dress later on or feed with a Manure tea.

Do not put he seedlings straight into this mix or any other with nutrients until they are a little older. About 2 to 3 weeks old is the norm.

This is like buying bagged soil with nutrients only better.
