Everytime I looked around for drying boxes or ideas cardboard kept coming up. I did see several that said cut squares about the size of credit cards for air flow. And again I have several computer fans I could even cut into the sides of the boxes to push air. Unfortunately I live in a very warm climate and don't have a garage. What about a closet? Just grasping at straws here.Nah, I get that. Space is a premium, especially when trying to run perpetually. The idea of cardboard + wet flowers just begs mold issues to me. Hell, even drying in a bathroom would be better, a bit of a bitch having to move plants around every time you need to bathe, but at least it's not a stagnant air box. Given I don't know anything more about your living situation, my best advice is consider any other options you have. Personally, I don't dry in my tent either. I dry in my garage. Also not ideal temps, and not perfectly dark, but the bud turns out just fine regardless.
Hay man, I'm in same boat for years my weed has always smelt good an then dry not as good, it turns out like nice comers , I also cut and dry on a net in the room my tents is in, I slam another crop straight in and dry on a net or stalks , but the are in the room the tents is in and it's just a little bit to hot and drying a little to fast, iv known this for years just been last as my weed was good enough and just not tasting as good as some weed that just test amazing lol.I'm really open to suggestions. I have fans shoot I have a small computer like fan I could cut into the box just for some airflow of needed. I just don't really have anything else to use. I turn my tents over to have continous grows so can't really cut and leave in my tent.

Yeah cause as I sit here and think depending on where people are at decides where the coolest spot may be to dry. Up north where it's 70 degrees inside and 30 in a garage well the garage may be a good call. Or in the south where it's 95 outside and 70 inside well hard to make it's much cooler and inside it goes. So I'm in the later and that's my situation. Other then slamming it in my fridge not sure what else to do.A closet would be just fine. 65% dry is what you mean?I know a bunch of people freezer theirs up in Canada but they usually put it in at 65%

Sucks because all that time and care through the grow can be destroyed in the dry. Ugh. My first few grows were like this. Kinda hay smelling and then went into jars and were in there and still are several months later. I find when I take them out of the jars and put them into sandwich bags that then the smells seem to come out and the hay goes away. Still trying to figure this all out for my situation.Yeah definitely. That's the struggle with drying. While temps are a huge factor, humidity is also important. The biggest variable you can play with in this process is airflow. Stagnant air allows mold spores to settle. So, if you can't hit the 60/60 rule, you can balance it in some way, and so long you adequate airflow you can hit your 7-10 day target for drying. That being said, a plant pulled early may never regain what it expressed in flower. The terpenes it was producing are just too volatile and evaporate at room temp. Just the nature of the beast.

Given that, with your temps, I'd say bump the humidity up if you can so long you can provide adequate air flow. 70F @ 65% RH should get your dry time ~10 days. You'll still lose some terpenes, but it won't be as bad, and you might want to evaluate your cure process. - Chuck buds off the stems, into paper bags. Burp the bags daily based on feel. If the buds feel wet, twice a day. Continue till they're crispy outside, but spongey feeling. Average 5-7 days.
- Into jars. Burp daily for five minutes. Kick the buds around a bit. Terpenes should start expressing themselves after a week or so. At this point they're ready for use.
Where I was, average day temps were 100F+, RH averaged 30% year round. Using a paper bag while the buds were still relatively wet in the middle was absolutely vital for a good, usable product within a month's timeline.
With your indoor temps, I think you have a good enough climate for a good dry. Just check the stems. When they crack, and the buds feel crispy on the outside, that's when you put them in paper bags. The bags slow the drying process down, sometimes a lot. So it's important to move the buds around when you're burping the bags. You'll lose some trichomes and hairs, but the product will appreciate it. You'll get a feel for when they're ready for jars. They'll be kinda spongy, but dry if that makes sense. That's when you put them in jars. Days to each step are not set in stone, only rough guidelines.

Now when you're talking about putting them into the bags do you leave them in a dark spot? Cooler spot? Or since they are then in the bags just leave them anywhere within a cooler temp place?
Will do. Fortunately I haven't had any issues with mold but I also want to keep it that way. You just gotta be on point with burping them at this stage. If any mold spores have settled, the microclimate that this step creates WILL germinate mold (I've lost harvests at this point) so you must keep up with the burping and do a thorough mixing every burp.
