Back to Nutes:
So I have just returned from the Treat yourself expo in Toronto with a bag full of give away goodies that I am so appreciative to get and try ... but i wanna know who they fit in with my existing nutes program.

I have sample sizes of Big Bud and Overdrive from Advanced Nutrients
, as well as a 1L of Jakes ROOT and 1L Jakes VB-1. Thanks Jake!!! (www.jakesfertilizer.com)

As far as I can see I should be able to use the root stimulator and VB-1 as directed .... unless someone has a better or different suggestion......????

The Big Bud and Overdrive is more of my concern. Does anyone see a problem using them as directed with the DNF gro,Bloom, Black, Gold?
Big Bud 0-1-3 Use 2ml/L from week 2-4
Overdrive 1-5-4 Use 2ml/L last two weeks of flowering before flush

Here is what is in the DNF and Jakes Nutes:

DNF:

Gro A
2-0-2

Nitrogen………..........….2%
Soluable Potash…........2%
Calcium……...........…….2%

Gro B
0-1-3

Nitrogen…………..………0%
Available Phosphate..…1%
Soluble Potash………….3%
Magnesium…………….0.5%

Bloom A
3-0-3

Nitrogen……...............…..3%
Potash…...............……….3%
Calcium………...............2.3%

Bloom B
1-0.5-3

Nitrogen………….....…...….1%
Available Phosphate..….0.5%
Soluble Potash………....…3%
Molybdenum………....0.0012%

DNF Black
In the hydroponics industry it is known that if a label has the word black in it somewhere, it most likely contains humic acid. Known for its rich dark brown to black colour, products containing humic acid do not require any dyes or additives. Humic acid has many natural benefits and has been used for hundreds of years as a powerful free-radical scavenger and a natural anti-oxidant. Black products are designed to enhance the flavour of fruits and vegetables and improve the colour. It is used weekly to increase the permeate ability of important nutrients and encourage beneficial bacteria and fungi reproduction to biologically stimulate plant growth.

Nitrogen………………………...........…1%
0.34% Ammonical Nitrogen
0.66% Nitrate Nitrogen
Available Phosphate…….…......…….1%
Soluble Potash…………….......……...2%

Derived from: mono potassium phosphate, potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate

DNF Gold
Products with “Gold” written on the label are known in the hydroponics industry to contain fulvic acid. It comes from the root word “fulvus” meaning yellow. These acids are yellow to golden-brown. Hence the title Gold referencing it contains fulvic acid. This acid is often referred to as the miracle of minerals. It is not only good for plants but also good for the human body. Many natural health care practitioners are recommending fulvic acid to boost immune systems, detoxifier, and to help absorb vitamins and minerals from foods. The addition of fulvis acid to a nutrient solution will definitely enhance plants with their nutrient uptake. It will also reduce sediment or even eliminate it in some cases. This will help to create strong healthy plants which are resistant to disease, fungus, mould, and insects. Finally, the use of fulvic acid has resulted in more flower sites and stronger stem growth.

Nitrogen: ………......………………....…1%
0.5% Ammonium Nitrogen
0.5% Nitrate Nitrogen
Available Phosphate ………….....……2%
Soluble Potash ………………......…….1%

Derived from: Ammonium phosphate, potassium nitrate, ammonium nitrate

JAKES:

Jake’s Vitamin B-1
( VB-1 ) Jake’s VB-1 is comprised of a unique blend of beneficial Auxins and Polyuronide Plasma, derived from North Atlantic sea kelp, Vitamins B-1, B-6 and B-12. Used for reduction of transplant shock, used as a foliar spray for both vegetative and flowering cycles. Add to your nutrient solution for improved cellular wall thickness, vascular dilation for improved nutrient uptake.

ROOT GROWTH STIMULATOR
( RGS ) RGS was specifically designed to enhance both the root growth and the vegetative growth cycle. Will give plants an increased yield in both small and large root production, will tighten nodule spacing and boost overall plant performance in the early stages of growth.

Any Thoughts?

yeah you wont do any harm with big bud or overdrive,if your one of the ,hard core, organics youll obviously know it aint organic. not 100% anyway:-) but im organic, but still use them.i keep it as organic as i can ya,know. it should be VERY noticable anyway when you run them.:-)

Ahhhhh thank you. I had not made that connection. I don't care at this point, but its good to know. It is just another step in my journey to becoming a better more knowledgeable farmer.

I am not sure I am experienced enough to give an opinion. I have been using the DNF line of products only. with that being said. I started off with just DNF GRO and BLOOM, and then added the Bloom fortifier later in my gardening. it helped by doubling my yeild. with that being said .... my yeild is nothing close to the numbers quoted by GHS. I was growing under Metal Halid lights .... I will be changing over to HPS for this "grow" around. I am in the middle of restarting my garden after a short break and a minor rearrangement of my room(s). I expect that my yield will be closer to what they suggest you should be getting. I am also super cropping 18 out of 24 of my next cycle. I will be able to use the big bud and over drive on 3 of the six not super cropped and I will use the DNF bloom fortifier on the other 3. that way I will have a good comparison. sound like a plan?

For me, my gardening experience has been one of continual improvement.
I started with 2 clip on incandescent bulbs and some seeds from a HQ i bought!!!
then 1 400W MH light with 3 florescents and figured out how to clone
then I started using PRO mix for soil and 2 400W lights with the flo for veg only
then I started using real nutes (DNF) instead of a generic powder fert
then I bought some real beans to use (Bubba Kush from Green house seeds)

I am at the point where I am experimenting with nutes and proper light and super cropping.

I now have 9 mothers of 3 different strains and one of each (indica, sativa, and a hybrid) ..... and I have just bought another strain (Trainwreck , another one from GHS) great ... where am I gonna put 5 new mothers????!!!! oh well ... ill have some killer bud soon!!!!

Are they convertible ballasts? I'd look for that marking.
