hi sky high it will take me a while to get a hang on how things work here. but ill keep trying. thanks for the offer and i might take you up on that at some time. I am new at this growing I have started a few plants AK48 at this time, want to see how it is going to work out. on my profile I posted what I have as far as equipment.I have invested quite a bit but if I can grow and not have to buy I think it will be better in the long run.I'm just not sure that I know what I am doing. So any help as far as info will do me good I have a couple of books on growing but I think reading is not as good as doing and what I have seen in your posts I think you have done.Don't know you but I think you are a nice guy most of the time.:whew so again I thank you . right now I have 4 plant at26 days. They are about 12" I think they look good but ??? I have them in 4" pots not sure when to transplant to the 3 or 5 gallon pots. this is soil . I do want to try hydroponics but I heard that soil was easier to do so that is how I went. again thank you thank you thank you.

Heya alphonso! (and Welcome to theguapo)

Looks like yer on yer way.

As far as transplanting, my guess is that you are ready to transplant if your plants are 12" tall in 4" cups. You can upsize to a 3 gallon, but just be aware that if you make that large of a jump in pot size you may experience a bit of a slowdown in growth up top as the plant spends time making roots rather than stems/leaves/etc.

What kinda soil are you using currently? Try to avoid the pre-ferted soils if you can. The timed release of the ferts can play havoc with you if you have problems as you have NO CONTROL over what the plant is receiving for nutrients and the feeding is continuous. If everything jives well you could have a nice plant via the use of these types of fert/soils but overall I wouldn't recommend using such products unless there was no other option.

The AK48 should do you well.

I an using 1/2 strength on the big bloom should I go to full. I think I read that the ffos had all that the plants needed for a while?

What kind of setup do you have ?

Right now the babies are in a ebb & flow tray w/T12 flourescent lights. When they are big enough they are going into an aeroponic set-up. I have a 600W MH/HPS for the aero and am using Humboldt 3-part nutes.

I've spent a LOT of time reading over the past few months and feel confident that I have educated myself enough to be moderately successful! I expect a learning curve obviously but am hopeful!

Hiya guapo, good luck with the grow. If you got questions, try posting in the "grow diaries" section, preferably with pics, and you'll get all kinds of advice....just remember what you are paying for that advice lol.

Hay I'm new to this as well But an ebb and flow for that small of plant? I have done a bit of reading also but nothing like doing to be able to learn. We hopefully will both be here for a while so will see how it goes for us.

Once you have roots you can place plants in an ebb and flow, no problem.

For my hydro stuff I often use a homemade aeroponic cloning bucket to root em, then transfer em from there right into the ebb/flow tray in 3" net pots with hydroton.
I keep my pH right about 5.8 and ppms no higher than 400'ish and see additional root growth happening within a few days. Once the roots start to poke out the 3" Cup i transplant em into their final size net pots and when I see roots poppin from those they go in the big bucket system.

well I just didn't want to have to hand water them all the time. I don't have to really fuss over them that much!
