What movement are you speaking of?
I'm not gonna give you my entire POV on the whole "medical marijuana" scene, but suffice it to say I think 99% of it is kind of a crock of shit - I realize there are MANY legitimate medical users, so please don't come on here and argue with me by listing whatever ailments you may have - you are the exception, not the rule.
I'm all for weed being legalized, and I realize that a transitional phase of calling it "medical" is the best way to do this, but it seems like most of you cats are really buying into the hype and consider yourselves "medical users" and "bringing medicine to the people" - you really need to wake up and smell the coffee (IMHO).
90%+ (only went with 90% because I didn't wanna have an argument if I put 97%) of the people smoking your product are recreational users - that's not a fact I've read anywhere, simply an educated guess by me, but I dare one of you to prove me wrong.
So, if we can accept that we're not all Mother Teresas doing this for the small minority of medical patients who actually need it, is it now okay to make a profit off of the money of college kids and yuppies who are using it recreationally?
And no, money and greed aren't destroying your "movement" - money and greed breed competition.
Competition breeds innovation.
Innovation breeds better weed.
Simple as that.
