Thanks bigcheese. Yeah not overly concerned, howver we kinda had/have a deadline to meet. So that sucks. The Merlin male is another stud of quality and we are now testing a few more of his progeny in our test tent. I have confidence that he will improve, on at least a few traits from these girls.

an update.

the girls are all flowering as they should and the male up and died. Heat stress and partner possibly over watering.
the male has been replaced with Magic Merlin Bx1. We will have another Tahoe replacement in just a few short weeks.

The next set of seeds will be produced with these 2 dudes, L is Magic, and R is PCK, PCK F2 coming, Magic and many new hybrids.

Next shot is the little test seed run here we have some Moonshine Haze and Scotts OG from Rare Dankness from me we have 2 Magic Merlin crosses Magic Ape(Grape ape x MMbx1) and Magic Valley Kush(Chem Valley Kush x MMbx1), also are 3 BooBoo( our Booberry x to a male Boo), and 7 total M-I-S american soldier collected Mazar-i-Shaif Afghan.

In our test flower tent under T5, her we have a Somango(Soma) x Magic and the new Magic seed selection. What was odd it htat out of 30 seeds we tossed 23 plants, mostly males. Got a single female of 12 Magic seeds, and of our JamBand, Original Headband x Jamacian(Carribean selected TRUTH seed brother) selection we got a better ratio of 5 of 10. The tree remaining PCK were sprouted and 2 males and a dud.
SoMagic? better name suggestions?

Oh sorry those 2 flowering started on May 31. Not bad at all and the smell is so sweet and tropical.

We also have just obtained the a G-13 cut...at least I sure hope it is the real one. Access to a Blue moonshine cut too! SWEET!

so it has been a little while since last I posted. We have an update to the seed room, still waiting for the Magic Merlin Bx2 is about to fully drop. here are some picts of the new seedlings, followed by the seed room last week.

We are tyring to move along as fast as possible with the new varieties being tested. The Mazar collected seedlings look very nice. Have a typical Kush type leaves and the are vigorous. ChemValley Kush x MMbx2 look nice and vigorous but most very stout, as are most of the xMM, the Grape Ape x MM is almost too stout. The Rare Dankness varieties we are running now as you all know are the Scott's OG and Moonshine Haze, they both look real nice very vigorous culled one and lost one of the MoonHazes down to 4, with all 6 of the Scotts OG. Culled one tf the BooBoo, the 2 left are slow growing and we may cull them next week.
The test flower tent is moving along nicely there are currently 5 JamBands, Headband(original Diesel) x Jamaican male, are all ver similar, 2 phenos pole type and bushy. The bush is looking as it is the way to go. They all smell similar flowers look better, dense on the bush,Jam side. Keep ya posted
We have the Colloidial Silver as well. Lemon Skunk and Chem SourD pollen is going to make some nice fem seeds. More than likely for in house use on this. May release some dependin on how good they turn out.

We found a Chemdog's Sister and Stardawg cuts, and will be using them for the Tahoe seed run. Just a month out on making these. The little MMbx2(Strech pheno) is doing his thing, taking his time I might add. We do have a # of seeds I can see on the individual But we need as many as possible. By Tuesday He should be done. We are also going to change the LEDs to a G watter and remove curtains of Panda film. Easier this wa, as we will have a tent or room for males and their breeding partners.
The next seed run line-up is as follows
To be crossed with a Tahoe OG male

Soul Assassin(Cypress Hill?) OG
XXX OG
Sour OG (DNA)

PCK, 3 purple lemon cleaner reaking phenos, sweet, sour, and one with breathtaking burgundy color

Can we all imagine for just a moment, a Blue dream type plant with the flavor of the OGs. Hoping is gonna make it happen i can feel it. Haha

Update tomorrow I believe the male should be in full effect by then. Magic will also be crossed in the coming months, creating the F3 line of Magic. Testing will ensue and release to follow. Can't wait to see what the future brings. On a side note, the next group of seeds to be tested will come from the Farms very own local superstar...Jaws! Solar Flair and Pink Dawg #1 will be 2 of the test varieties, other TBA, Thanks for looking erbody!

It is a little surprising how little info there is on the Sister cut. Stardawg is gonna be nice for sure. I cannot tell you how bad I want these to be in and done and on the shelves. The MM crosses seem to be very stout in general..not what I was looking for honestly. I did leave on in the ground in the back yard, a MMbx2 cross, either ChemValley Kush of F-13, until she got too big. I was waiting until sex showed, happened wednesday! she is a...oh never mind I just told you. Cant wait to see what she brings. Though we are testing these currently, not the F-13 cross, under T5s they are almost too stout. We shall see.

Yeah its a pretty good list, I forgot to add, Headband( Original/Daywrecker Diesel), Grand Daddy Purps, Aliendawg, and I know I am forgetting something. Probably look for a male in the rare Dankness Scotts OG and/or the Moonshine Haze.
The Golden Tigers went into flower on the 1st, been outside for about 6 weeks now and a few are showing preflower formation. The males will be used as collected pollen and a brush to apply. Not about to try and hold on to one of these long flowering types longer than needed. I'll be posting a few picts here today.

So there has been some advancements here. The male is gone now. We do have seeds of the following ripening on the plant; All crossed with MMbx
p98, White Widow, Chemdog 91, Somango, PCK3,4, Flo, Lemon Skunk, Blue Dream, and Banana Smack1. So in a few weeks they will all be finished.
Completed we have just 2 new, XXX OG bx2 (outcrossed to a Banana Smack male) and the "Dirty Banana," Banana Smack2 x (XXX x BS).
Long term growing in 4' rockwool cubes can be a little tricky. They tend to become water logged after 2 months in the trays. Easy fix.

I will post picts of so much as soon as I find my camera cable.

that M I S looks very interesting. you have a grip of strains , just maintaining that many different strains can be a pain. i def hear you on the 4 in RW blocks not being ideal for long term growth. how do you guys process and store your seeds? im always looking for better ways to save beans

Hey thanks guys. still looking for another cable for the camera. Left the one at work.
Seed storage is simple enough. after harvest we leave the seeds in paper bags for a week. The seeds are stored in plastic bags into the fridge. Most of our seeds will only stick around for a short time as wee are trying to move through them as fast as we can. Pheno hunting requires a good number. Speaking of which we are going to increase our numbers of seeds sprouted at once. Higher potential for finding the keeper of course.
I have got picts of the Moonshine Haze and Scott's OG from Rare Dankness, they look good. The Scott's is nice as it is very uniform and the lower branches are as tall as the rest of the plant, looks good. The Moon haze is a shear novelty for use with no real possibility of production if over 9 weeks.

Grrr, still cant find the cable. Damn older usb configured camera!!

Thanks guys kinda pissed I forgot that damn cable. Tomorrow. The Magic variety, originating from Magic Merlin seem to be exactly where I wnat it as far as flower smell, still 20 days or so left. Happy with results for now and will continue the line for another 2 gens then release to the masses! Tropical sweetness with long standing glands and a long lasting happy strong high. The Magic is a first gen IX, or in-cross. This means, for those who don't know, making a cross back into an earlier generation in the hoes of stabilizing and bringing closer to original specimen. Only a few weeks now to test the Magic. ALso would like to say the JamBand we are running, 5 in flower, look great nad smell of the original Headband with the Jamaican overtones we love from our TRUTH variety.
Yeah yeah I know who cares about the words without any photos....Tomorrow, tomorrow, i love ya tomorrow, its only a day away!
