You got this man. No worries. When you worry excessively, you are more likely to cause it without knowing.

Keep them on a small cart that you can cover when the inspector is there. If you put it in a corner and pile a few books on it, they will never know.
As soon as they are gone, plant those babies.

Don't mind the gelato I had 4 strains and it was not happy with the nitrogen th others liked.

Not to mention a couple timer mishaps

Cool en down and lower the light. 30 days is a bit long. Upon em to maybe 1 gal once they outgrow the cups.... you can stunt them hard but you want to try not to.

We get inspected once a year.
We just close the tent. If they ask, we grow herbs for herbal mixes. Would they like some wild lettuce??
And as important, I'm not lying to them. We do grow herbs. Many kinds. LOL

When inspection hits, hide everything you have and hang clothes in the tent, like a closet. I've done that before, it worked for me.

Really? New York? Just hang a sign on the door that says, "Woke Testing center" They won't even come in, they'll just sign the papers and leave.

The root always goes to the bottom first, then spreads out. It's big enough to put in its final pot.
Transplant.

Really? Repot that at this point? I have one that's just about this stage (two others ready to pop), wasn't thinking I would do that for a few more days. Can see the first serrated leaves forming. Is she ready to move to a pot?

Yes. But most of us do wait a bit extra just to give the plant time to get stronger. Moving it is stressful.
We don't do the rooting step. We plant the germinated seed in it's final pot to start with. Zero moving stress and I don't have to destroy pots to transplant.

This is my 1st rodeo. I may consider skipping the tray going forward. I started 3 germinating together and this gal (eve) was *very* aggressive. She was rooting through the towel while the others were just opening a little.

We love those agressive ones. They grow well.
