@Aqua Man i cant tell if its mold or not, like ive said ive been a successful mycologist so i know my mold and my gnats well. But now im seeing some sort of white and black specks on coco/perlite ..this one looks like a spore print on a piece of perlite . Or if these any other reason this would happen lmk.

What I would like to know if u would trust it or, is there something I can do like clone or some sort of reset. Sorry for freaking out. Seemed like a good day , seemed like I had the hang of it. Im kinda of just like confused why my perlites purple and my coco is throwing out pieces of white. I only watered when the entire top of the pot was dry , and it felt light as fuck.

Tannins in the media can stain your perlite. I would suggest you get a bubble cloner. A 24 site. As cheap as 50 bucks. And grow a big mother plant. Make you some clones. I grow myself 30 clones and I pick 4 to 8 champions out of the batch and kill the rest. And don't worry too much. If the strain is good and the conditions are right they don't get sick. And if they do. There are better strains to be found. I would just relax and try to get the hobby to be calming and less stressful. Once you get it. You got it.

Im sorry to freak out online. Im an italian its what I do, I speak out loud and with my hands. Lol but im done panicing if they fail its whatever I just wont go back to jiffy pellets ever again lol, it has me concerned because it never actually drys at the same rate as the coco, should i be watering different @Ponky would you water them seperately? Would really be kind of a pain in the ass. Might as well start over. And yeah next project once i get this down (i guess) would be a pheno hunt. Im into that gassy/cereal milk/fruity pebble type stuff lmfao 🤣

Im definetly putting out my own beginners guide when im done. Deadass.

https://www.freshwatersystems.com/p...MI6bL_6c3F8QIVBB-tBh16aQEQEAQYAiABEgLVhPD_BwE I prefer rapid rooters. They sell them everywhere. For me I usually do clones. When I do seeds:
Placed in tap water kept around 77 to 80 F.
2 to 3 days later the little guys are careful placed in a 3.5" square nursery pot.
If seeds its there for at least 2 weeks. If clone. Like 8 days. Then if going in ProMix. I use a 5 gallon ridged square pot. If into DWC then I use a 5 gallon with Lava rock.
I water to full saturation with runoff using a water meter. In ProMix.
In DWC I top up daily. Change once a week. EXCEPT: when the plants peaking. And using a lot of water a day (gallon or more) then I give it a water change every 4 or 5 days. Usually for about 3 weeks of this.

I don't CO2. I don't hormone. Best I do is about a pound a light on a 600 watt. With a medium yielding Kush usually. If I yield more. It's a hybrid. And my buds got too big. And some went bad.

Secret to not stressing: after 4 months. You have enough smoke to burn one whenever you need it. And enough to last you if a crop doesn't turn out.

Find your favorite flavor. Mother it. Learn it. And let it reward you. Weak plants don't deserve love. Only the strong are worthy to clone.

For you I suggest.

A nice strain. From seed or clone. Robust. Easy to clone. Rapid rooters. Bubble cloner. Net cups to hold the rapid rooters. And a perlite 33% and peat sphagnum (moss) media with mychorizae. Basic brand name 1 part food. And a supply of prevention fungicide/pesticide.

Ed Rosenthal books can help. Lots of ads in em. But still good to have a new copy. And in 2 or 3 years. You should have the best smoke around all the time.

Mixed nutrients are all different. If its for soil. Mix right before you use it. After it's gassed off. Use it all. Mix as needed. Don't store it

Looking good in here form what I've seen. I wouldn't worry about the jiffy pots, I've used them fine. they might not be as good as coco, but it works, just make sure your allowing your substrate to sufficiently air out. Like aqua says, for them to get "light" before the next watering, but not bone dry.

I don't know how much ventilation your getting to that area, but that's one thing that might help improve the situation, IMO. Some light air movement in there.

Im a nervous grower. Im fine with the stress because the euphoria i get from sucessful grows is enough in the end 😂😂 heres some air flow video ive been really increasing it lately at first not much because they seemed super weak. I have them in a closet that i always keep cracked open and they have slotted doors I figured it was enough. I dont understand why anyone would use two different mediums that dry at different speeds, or maybe im bugging, i was just following a guide

Yeah. Sometimes they come in a 3 pack. When they work it's great. Sometimes they send you a dud. But Amazon will send you a working one if you get a bad one.
Do you think I should top when it comes time? Or just flower them out and move onto some pheno hunting?

Always top your plants. About 4 to 7 days before you switch to 12/12 lighting. Except for auto flower. Those you just let grow. Outdoor is a personal choice.
