Hell yeah, patients should cut out the middle man and get their meds direct from the grower. If they don't know any growers personally then that's what the internet is for. Start or find a web forum (there are plenty of them already) with "Growers Markets" for patients to get hooked up directly with growers. Business is conducted via personal messages. To send a PM you have to become a verified member. To become a verified member you have to send a copy of your Dr.'s Rec to the webmaster. For people who don't already have access to a network these types of forums are much safer and provide patients with better overall product than anonymous bud trader or lazy cop haven, aka craigslist.

Not for everybody I know, but it has worked well for me.

most the websites I found to sell meds on strait to the growers are packed with growers, and no patients....be a great idea though....

Yup there are a bunch of those. Usually the forums that are anonymous and don't verify are en undated with growers. I would PM you a good one in Cali if I knew of any but I'm in a different state and don't know of any there. Where I live there are two really good forums that maybe get 1 or 2 new grower offerings a day at most.

What are your thoughts on BudTrader. I have never dealt personally but I see folks requesting meds all the time offering $2500 to $3K. I have only heard that it a pretty shady practice but I imagine if you are dealing with dispensary inquiries it would be ok.

On another note they just busted a 7 location grow and 4 people in Sacramento so it should help with the flood somewhat ;) They are saying it was a straight illegal op not tied to MMJ. They could still have had their MMJ Rec's but just growing way too much.

This is from the horse's mouth. Grower's in my collective, after the -10%/15% to collective, mainly to pay for distribution (ie driver time, gas) and to help w/ accounting/legal

retail $40/8 $2400
retail $45/8 $2600
retail $50/8 $2800
retail $60+/8 $3200-$3500

It's not a 50-50 split w/ 1/8s nor does it take quantity discounts into consideration.

Thanks for article GA. My guess, and this is total speculation, is that Obama had to trade in a chip for an issue that was more pressing and mj advocates got the short end of the stick. I just can't bring myself to believe that Obama would mind if I supported myself by growing mj or smoked the bowl that's in front of me, ATM, loaded and ready to go.

This here is where I stand on the issues.

in the end, Democrats, Republicans and News Anchors retire, play golf, dine together and talk about the good old days. As more than one of the retired politicians has publicly said: it just seems that the "right" kind of people always wind up together.
I'd like to be a caddy on their course for a day and be a fly on their dining room wall.

I just thought I would add my self to the punishment list here.. not sure of the last half of the threads pages.. I havent read past page 5... have we gotten a bit off topic.. or are we still chugging along with lbs club prices..

in ontario canada...

clubs pay $2400-$2600 for TRIPLE "AAA" quality I.E. {POTENCY , TASTE, DENSITY BAG APPEAL}

indica or sativa dominant makes not much difference...if it was picked at optimuim time frame and Trimmers and dry cure have all been properly performed then thats top price....

So with that in mind basicly everything has to be proffesional : gentics , grow mrthods, flush, Trim, dry , cure and packaging... also many random visual inspections with in the lb to inspect for hitch hickers, herm flowers, powedery mildew , blight , Botrytis , budrot and powdery mildew. Basicly any conditions that could effect the qulaity and health of consumer..

Damn, 2400-2600 AAA quality? I say take off, eh. Sorry man, couldn't resist. It really was the first thing that popped into my head. That is low. I hope electric is cheap! How much are they selling eighths and oz's for? The strict criteria is all good with me. I say have a high criteria and a price that is a bit more generous as well.

so from the numbers I'm reading in these 30 some pages, the prices that club owners offer growers in the so-cal area for top shelf indoor meds average $2500 or sp? doesnt that seem a little low? can anyone in the so cal area kindly update us with recent strain/ price per pound? thanks much

2500 for average indoor and regular outdoor. 3500 for indoor max to 4000 for top shelf. For the record they dont pay for the product. Its a donation to the non profit where we are reimbursed for our electric bills and nutrients. There use to be uc's that would monitor this shit which is why you dont walk in with your elbow and expect to be paid at the counter. every club / co-op is different and ran differently. But this how i know and have seen it done. This is within the ballpark range here.

Prices vary depending on co-op and strain and the demand on your strain and the way the finished product is and the response from their patients collecting each time. Patients tell them that the last batch they got of larry's og was the bomb ass meds or it was shit and the owner makes notes and prices from his or her vendor are adjusted accordingly as well as with the med patients.

When does the outdoor flood of bud usually chiil out...I mean is there usually a peak month when clubs are stocked up on outdoor, then prices go back up some. I grow indoor and am just wondering if I would be better holding off till a certain month.

I didn't see the price change until about July here, but Mendo is almost always the most flooded area......
