Girls are getting settled in. Starting to show that real growth. This is where I think multiple feedings from a drip system will help even more vigorous growth. Pics were taken yesterday and today. Shows how much they're starting to fill in in 24 hours

Bro. How have I not seen those?? I love them. Honestly brotha I think I just found my set up. It's pretty much the same basic idea I had goin but I'm loving those floraflex. I'm gonna start getting parts together this week

I'm looking forward to seeing how you like the cmh lighting. I'm thinking of adding a 315 to my 1000hps in the flower room to add a little more spectrum as opposed to just adding another hps. I'm pretty sure it's the way to go but still wanna know how you and others like it

I didnt grab the cmh light... Im really thinking about waiting till I got the funds and getting a spyder led.

U might! But im thinking these prob run EVEN cooler! Saving money on AC is very important. Plus my chiller doesn't have to work as hard, = more savings.
But very true! That is why I need more time to think...
But still that is my future setup! He is rocking exactly what I want!!!!!!!!!

I have 3 cob led lights, one full spectrum with 6 fans, one 3000k cree with one fan blowing on heat sink, and one cree with passive heat sinks. Both of the ones with fans might as well be hps lights, any plant that gets within 18 inches starts to curl up from heat stress, the cree one with passive cooling fins is so cool that I can put my hand on the heat sinks and its just warm and I can get them a foot from the plants with no burn. From now on every led I buy will be passive cooling.

Or in this case maybe not. Haha. I know nothing about LED. I've spent my time learning what I use but the more I look at these led set ups my brain starts turning. Lol

the spyder is a great led
geared more for growing leafy greens...
for Cannabis you need more penetration and a more natural spectrum for great success.......the spyder still runs blurple....which grows plants but not optimal is all

For the price of one spyder, you could get 15 cree cxb3590s with dimmers, heat sinks installed, and drivers from timber.

And how often do you change the Rez? Sorry for all the questions I've just been too feeding n I want to make sure I get right size pump for the rez and tube and conduit size with pressure and all that

so get this pump

a 25gal black tote with yellow top *costco* 7.99
some pvc plumbing
and if you are gonna do a top drip

some 1/4" tubing and call it a day
I just use drip stakes now
no floracaps
they look cool but drip stakes are about .60
and the floracap was like 6.00
so stakes add value to my bottom line

I refill once a week or so depending on how many plants I am running

oh and by the way
make sure to get a small 250gph pump to circulate your res
do not bubble your res
CIRCULATE!!!!!!
cant stress that enough

set it on a timer to run for 15min every 3 hours
the way I circulate mine is I ran some 1/4" pvc up to the top of the res and put a 90 elbow on the top
so the circulation pump sucks from the bottom and spills on the top
as the res starts to drain the pump both oxygenates the res as well as circulates the nutrients

Awesome brotha. Honestly thanks for steering me in the right direction. I would have went with bubbling it so I'm glad I asked. Now I think I remember seeing your waterfall on another thread. I'm gonna be ordering my supplies this week so come install time I might have another question or 2. Lol. I'm a glazier not a plumber. Hahah

ask away
once you set everything up.....you will realize how super easy it is
yeah as for the bubbling
everyone thinks you need oxygen
but in reality
when you top feed
your plants are getting oxygen nomatter what
the action of feeding from top forces O2 down into the root zone
and bubbling dosnt help to keep your res mixed
but a pump can both keep your res mixed and add a little dissolved oxygen
but an air pump takes oxygen in and it is heated before it reaches the res potentially heating the res as well adding CO2 along with the O2
which spells trouble

I like experimenting when I have the cash

but once I find the most effective at the cheapest price
I dont care how it looks really
I only care about money and end result
and since all my grows are personal with no cash inflow....so basically all out of pocket
After finding the right equipment
I stick to it unless I find something cheaper and as or more effective
