Looks like there's gonna be no rain early next week (or so little it's very unlikely). That worked out great because I found a bottle of Sledge Hammer I forgot about.

If you need to break up salt lock, a fast flush for a quick harvest, or just over did it on the nutes, this stuff is the sh*t. Saved my a$$ when my plants got burned from Beastie Bloomz and bat guano. I use it now for regular maintenance flushes. After yesterday's flush and tomorrow's using SH, the BC & BIC#3 should be perfect by early next week. Maybe even Sunday. We'll see where the blooms are at. Looking close yesterday and could see the Banana Crack is days from being done. BIC#2 is close behind. I think I'll have all but the Idunnoes in by Thurs-Fri. Surprisingly, the Idunnoes is getting some heft to her colas. I don't think the nuggs will be big but it's possible there'll be a lot of them.

Found pillar/worm damage today. Must have killed them in both buds cause they bored back out. All I found was the damage to the stem. Sprayed Spinosad a few days back and it must've got em.

To the right of the pic is the dead stalk. I made sure to cut off below it with clean shearing scissors.

Yup I had a couple of those as well. What's most devastating is those little guys cause some damage then the rains come and the watermold happens in the area's they hurt. It spreads so easily too best to cut it off like you did. I don't think it would happen if it wasn't for the damage they caused. I had to take off the very top of my Blueberry Gum #2.

It's tea season once again. My favorite time of year. One of my platypi is brewing me some mega caffeine rich Chai Love loose leaf tea. This tea is so sweet on it's own it barely needs sugar. I am a chai junkie. 75% of the tea in my cabinet is chai, the rest I mix with chai.

...This sheetrock saw has taken down over 60 huge plants and countless branches, and is still as sharp as the day I bought it. It will turn a 3hr harvest into 45min. It's my go to harvest tool, and unlike pruners, there's no moving parts to clog or break. The only drawback is it's sharp as sh*t and my clutzy a$$ always gets a nip from it. I need to buy a sheath for it because it's always when I'm pulling it out of my pocket that it bites me.

I might need to get one of these. I was looking for my harvest tools and can't find much. Have not used them in too long :drunk:

Love this picture! Congrats on partial harvest so far. Everything is looking really good and FAT. :smoking:

Do you have a topping plan, or just going for it? I hope to end up with 3 fems from 6 seeds, and mainline them to 8 or 16 before flip. But unsure how big they would be at that point and if they would still fit in the tent.

Two Spot spider mites. When the plants die or dry, the spider mites crawl to the top to look for living foliage. The cuts that are drying are hung upside down so it actually helps to draw them out of the buds. At least, the living ones it does. Obviously. It's normal, just really nasty to see. That isn't actually all that many mites. There wasn't enough damage to even tell those ones were on BIC#1. I only assumed till I saw them. I've seen the webs like this before but I've never seen them in the process of migrating and building webs when they mass like this. There were still many crawling up towards the base.

Topped all three already. Been pruning wherever I see it benefits growth (except the pollen branches that I've cleared space around). Can't really make a plan yet because I've never done this before. I have no idea how much space the tops will require. Looking to hand trim a SOG. If it works I'll have a canopy that fills almost every available square inch.

Was thinking about your plan and if your tent is the same size as mine and your plants average sise, I think 8 is probably about the max. I think you could fit more but then you run the risk of mold/fungus due to blocked airflow and overlapping leaves holding/respirating moisture. Of course, this all depends on what strains you are growing. Like my Royal Nepal, I think I'd be lucky to fit 6 colas, maybe 8. But if I were growing Durban (from what I've seen in pics) maybe I could pull off 16.

I don't know... Just thoughts.

(Edit, PS - I also have no plans on stripping all the fan leaves like some do. They are there for a reason. I think my girls will be healthier and more productive with them.)

I didn't want to bring those masses of mites back to my trailer and run the risk of infesting my tent girls. So I took a lighter and ran a flame over them before putting any branches in my bin for trimming.

They were so courteous to group together for me the least I could do is give them little b*tches a viking funeral. Their webs were great kindling. Hahahahaha!

Yeah, I was wondering if it still was pillars. Those silkworms are bastards.

I found a fat beetle grub laying on of my BIC#1 colas when I harvested. Looked like a fat maggot about 1/2" wide x 3/4" long. Tried to grab it for a pic but it fell into the grass and couldn't find it again. Not sure if it fell out of a cola I jostled or if it was just a random unlucky grub that landed there from the oak tree. Wish I would've got a pic. It was a ghastly nasty looking thing.

Flushing all but the Idunnoes with Sledge Hammer today.

Banana Ice Cream #2

Banana Crack

Banana Ice Cream #3

Idunnoes

Machine trimming the Orange Creamsicle. Then paper bagging it to cure/dry for fine trim and canning. I like using the machine on the OC while it's still slightly wet so it doesn't break apart. The OC is a foofy flower.

(This is about half the plant.)

Orange Creamsicle harvest is 2.25lbs trimmed and cured. Better than I expected. The buds are more solid this year.

Except for the Idunnoes, this is the lightest plant. It should be bigger numbers for the rest.

I didn't take slice shots of this harvest. I was way too busy to stop and take anymore pics.

As soon as I released the support lines she fell apart, hehe.

Man, I was so slammed yesterday. Clearing the drying shed for room and harvesting those two plants wiped me out. Pretty sure that Banana Crack weighed a solid 160lbs. So glad I have today to rest, for the most part. I still have tons of trimming to do but I can get it done fairly quickly so I'm not stressed about it. Lucky for me BIC#2 has a couple more days to fully ripen. The Banana Crack & BIC#3 will hang dry in the shed just long enough to be transferred to paper bags for the final dry before trimming. BIC#2 will have the drying shed to itself in a few days.

The momentary lull is giving me a chance to relax, get high, and cook some harvest stew. No, it doesn't have pot in it, hehe. I make most of my food from scratch. I do it partly to save money and eat healthier, but mostly because my food usually tastes better than processed foods. I don't have time prepare foods once I start trimming, so I make a pot of stew. It'll last a few days and I can cook it while I trim. This is the second pot of stew this season. I started it with the leftover broth from the first pot. Pulled 1.5 litres of broth out of this one. I might make chili with it instead of stew this next time.

I've trimmed a space around a lower branch from each of the left two plants. Keeping them separated like this allows me room for a spray shield, and later, a collar to catch pollen. I'm thinking of using a plastic bottle with the bottom cut off and a fine screen put over it so they can breath.

I want to build a post and wire trellis for the girls next year and that got me thinking about growing hops as well. They're a perfect match. Scientists have found that cannabis and hops are closely related, so their grow cycles, watering and nutes, support structures, and pest control products are very similar or the exactly same. Their care is similar enough that makes sense to grow them in the same garden. I've heard that it may even be possible to graft cannabis on to hops.

The basic type of structures I want to build... aesthetics are important to me.

I like the really tall one with shade trellis the best. Maybe I'll set it up with retractable shade cloth for heat waves and hail storms.

Lettin BIC#2 run a few extra days is really working out. It's been a day with two fans and the drying shed can still suffocate you. Maybe I'll let her go 4-5 days and see what happens, but I won't push beyond that. Looks to me like she's already a couple days into the golden week.

Well, the pre flower-cycle stall is over today. These b*tches just grew wheels.

-------------------------------
Took a trip to my favorite smoke shop this evening. On the way there I get behind this little rice burner car, it was like a Honda, or Nissan, or something... It had a Vader'esque body kit, dual racing pipes, an air shift kit, and looked like it's suspension had been modified as well.

This thing looked totally vicious. Like it could eat a Barbie dream car and sh*t out the Batmobile.

So this little monster is going down the street, engine whining, air-shift thssh'ing...

...it's bucking with each shift, then screaming through the next gear...

...and there I was, still a few car lengths behind him, doing 30mph. The slow steady woop woop woop of my 454 barely above an idle.

I was dyin!!! Almost had to pull over. He turned right, into a supermarket parking lot as I pulled up to the stop. I watched as he went, screaming through the parking lot... doing 5mph. I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to throw up.

I know those street racers have low gears, but I think that guy bought the wrong kit. ROFL
