Thank you very much. Another chart to add to the wall. I was pondering the lime, never read up on sulfur, but I know @oldskol4evr had mentioned it before.
Okay. Pictures from yesterday. I feel like my plants are feeling like I have been the past few days. It's part of this process and the fact that I have not been eating healthily because I have so many things going on at one time. Just serves as a reminder to drop back and refocus on priorities.
So, it seems like they are telling me they aren't getting enough water. However, since the vent is hooked to the outside window and it has been snowing the last few days, I'm sure they are affected by the air in the vent. I guess the answer would be to run the damn ventilation.Do y'all think I may have separated them too quickly? Do they show minor signs of stress with movements like this or is it the cold outside? Maybe I should figure out how to set up that other light to generate more warmth?
Apparently, I activate common sense when I parse it out. I will blame it on my being on the phone all night with one of my brothers so I could talk him down. Life likes to show up in weird ways sometimes. Just when I had told myself it wasn't my job to save everyone...the Universe said, "Challenge accepted." Thank you for your patience while I absentmindedly vent.![]()
I'll add those measurements to my list. Thanks for the heads up. Vent is closed. Would the bottom leaves be affected because they aren't getting adequate light? In coco you want to water/feed almost everyday to every other day, you cant treat it like soil.
But from the pics they still look happy expect those bottom leaves, im leaning more towards what Dire Wolf mentioned and it could be the cold coming through the vent!
I live in Michigan so I understand all to well how the cold affects plants, that and cold winters have this weird Dehumidifing affect, that dry cold air messes with the humidity of a grow room pretty quick, if you have a vent going to outside and are having an issue with the tent not getting warm enough just take the vent out, if you are worried about the smell though then theres not much you can do, at which point you will just have to bump up the heat when the lights are off!
Without knowing your High and Low humidity and Temp it is harder to make definitive answer on what might be going on.
But if the coco looks even the slightest bit dry and the pots weigh really light then your plants definitely need water.
But in coco its almost impossible over water a plant, you still want it to dry out, but coco is the closest thing you can get to hydroponics without actually growing hydroponically!
We are on a second floor, and the neighbors usually keep us pretty toasty with no heat to be turned on for us, so you are probably right about the floor temp. They are perking up already since the vent has been closed. They would start turning yellow if they werent gettimg enough light, so I would say no.
Anytime a plants leaves arent getting enough light the leaves will turn yellow and over time they will naturally fall off!
People actually do this on purpose sometimes because it is a self pruning technique, lol. I just call it laziness! But it does work, so im not judging!
But because those are the only leaves are closer to the ground where its cold and only those leaves look unhappy i would say its probably the temp of the tent, the floor area might be getting too cold.
I've been itching all day to do just that. Haha! Thanks for the affirmation. I was concerned of wasted energy that could be better served towards new growth. Thanks for the affirmation.Honestly i would just trim those leaves off, because they are going to need to come off eventually anyways! Also it will force the plant to put out new growth!
Thank you for the support. You will most likely have hiccups along the way, as long as you do your research and ask people for help you will do great!
You have to imagine i started growing Cannabis 13+ years ago, and back then there was no one to tell you what to really do, everyone kept it hush hush! Those times of growing were super hard! But its the reason why a lot if people do know what they are doing because we have ran into almost ever problem imaginable! Lol
I lost tens of thousands of dollars to make it easier for other people! And I wouldnt change it even if I could, because i wouldnt know what I know today because of it!
Once you get the hang of everything, it will becomes like 2nd nature to you and it will become effortless. But for now just try not to get too discouraged when things go wrong, it helps you learn what to and what not to do.
Just make sure when you see even the slightest bit of something looking off just ask people on here, there's a lot of very knowledgeable people on here willing to help, as long as you catch any problems soon enough everything will be fine! Dont stress!
Everythings looking alot better though! Great job, just keep it up!
those roots are fine. they will die off from being exposed and turn back in. self pruning. personally i would not use anything other than cloth pot.Are those roots coming out of your grow bag ?
That makes me a little nervous , never used that type of container...
I guess they " air prune" but my instinct would be to put them into even larger pots if the root growth is so agressive during this veg stage....
Did you say they are 5 gal ?
I see 5 gal is plenty big....
Go for it...
I have never grown cannabis before, but I love plants and wish I had known about cloth pots before. Would have saved some really great ficus trees.those roots are fine. they will die off from being exposed and turn back in. self pruning. personally i would not use anything other than cloth pot.
