Weekly update, day 36.
Hero to zero in 12 hours. Boom time into yesterday’s partial change out and subsequent feed. Pretty savage lst and overcooked the pH adjustment means they don’t look happy this morning just b4 lights out. Partial water change to buffer pH.
Phenomenal growth over the week and they will bounce back after their sleep. Just as important to acknowledge the fails as the wins.

All just a bit shrivelled, lost their vibrancy and brightness. I must say tho i was pretty amazed at how strong the emerging secondary growth was beneath the main grow tip. Really noticed it when tying them down. Gunna have my work cut out restricting their height i reckon, these have been good seeds.

Happy Holidays folks.
An appropriate time to talk about near death and rebirth….
My girls got to a nice stage and started to deteriorate. Everything seemed fine pH and EC wise etc.
I made necessary adjustments and things went from bad to worse several times.
In truth i thought about pulling the grow.

Finally, I took my pH meter in to get checked out.
The calibration was out of whack, reading way too high.
I had been acid adjusting for a solution that was already acidic, so over a period of weeks had nute lockout and some very sad girls.

I decided to take one for the team and see if i could salvage the grow.
Below is one of the GG4 girls. She is about a week away (currently week 15) from the chop.
She is not much more than a foot x a foot but has done her best for me.
Looking pretty icky sticky and my garage stinks…..

The other GG4 girl has that typical main cola of the strain, such as it is. One of the Gorilla Zkittlz girls has rebounded quite well. Pics of those next time

Been another minute.
Rather than start a new grow thread, thought I would update this latest grow here.
Pics aren’t great but you get the idea.

My third grow and I just about have it sorted.
Amnesia Lemon at 38 days from flip.
They have been beasts.
Lotta tying down and leaf plucking.
EC wise, when it drops to .6, i feed. Goes up to about .8
Feed about every 5 days.
Not running sterile, egg shells in the feeder tank buffer pH.
Dehu 12 hrs day, fan and carbon filter same.
These 2 girls are about 80cm and stackin an rackin. Finishing fast.
At least 20 heads on each plant.

These girls finished great.
Due to the dense foliage cover I had some mould issue in one plant but the best overall I have grown so far. 3 grows in and learning every time. I kept the EC up, closely monitored pH DAILY and did my best around air circulation and dehu.
Amnesia Lemon sure has hybrid vigour and incredibly strong branch structure. It has no problem carrying dense heavy buds. My user friends tell me It is a great smoke, initial energy hit then warm fuzzy relaxation. Sounds great.
AND NOW

BB3 girls at 14 days from germination.
No mucking around w paper towel method etc etc.
Straight into pre soaked Jiffy pots and onto the window sill.
Guess what folks, plant seeds don’t need our help to germinate….
You don’t need to shell out big money for proprietary net pots either.
These are standard 6” pots from the local nursery at dimes in the dollar.
Going into a nice clean system in a day or so.
New airstones the only upgrade, will buffer w egg shells in top up tank.
Target harvest date Dec 31

It begins again. BB3 girls into the system at 22 days. they have had no food until now but for a soak in light kelp solution every few days. They will thicken up pretty quick.
Target harvest NY Eve so see how we go.
