This morning I hoped to have a germ'ed seed with a leg at least.
Nope it's doing the same as the last one.
Barely sticking out.
Guess I will wait till later and then plant it in some soil
see what happens.
I have a nice seedling growing in the veg tent but it's not fem'ed.
Oh well, is what it is.

Keep it moist, humid and dark. It will stretch.

The paper looks dry I think a bit more moisture is needed. It may get too warm on the cable box and it dries the paper towel out too fast. I've been placing mine in the kitchen cabinet on my dishes so I don't forget them.

I've had my son over for a few days and he throws me off my schedule. I've not done anything with my new pots while hes been here. Tomorrow is the day I get to play with it all.
It was damp didn't want to over do it and in a zip lock bag so can't dry out.
I have had an 80% success rate doing it this way, I think the temp on the box is 76.
Anyway I put it in soil. Almost the exact same result as the previous Do Si Do seed so maybe it's the strain.
Running down cellar and checking it as I type this and the winnner is............
Me lol
Funny thing this Do Si Do is.
Started to grow but upside down so white root sticking out of the soil about a half inch.

I brought it upstairs in a semi panic lol to use my twizzers on it and turned it around.
IMG 4247

There all better now 😁 🤣🤣
Put Do Si Do back in the tent with the others:
QC Blue
Fruity OG
Sour Diesel
and 2 back up testers
Wedding Cake and Durban Poison, in one cup, on the right side.

Soooo SSSSllllooooowww
The other 3 are doing well, a week into their seedling stage.
Do Di Do started growing upside down again with her
root growing out of the soil, ha.
Can't keep a good root down, I guess.
I tucked it back in again and gave her some water.
Man this plant!!!
She is a week behind and still not quit sure she will make it.
The other two plants in one solo cup are doing great and will keep
them if I can figure out how to keep the oil heater and light on in the veg tent
with the main tent all lite up and running. (I have only 2 outlets to use)

She should be ok now showing leaves.
Only one week behind the others.

Right now I am figuring how to run both tents.
With 2 outlets, one for each tent.
I will run an experiment this week and figure it out.
Do Si Do is like my black cat, Shady, who is very temperamental.

Looking good once they are above ground they should do well...1 week won't amount to much in 7 -8 weeks.,,,When are you going to put them in your air pots?

I've cleaned and soaked my clay balls and I cut down the net pots to be more dome like in height and I'm soaking my air stones in Peroxide. I realized if I'm going to use these things I need air line. I have some but of course its the wrong size for what I need. So Amzon and it'll be here in a week....so I can't plant until I get them......

I had the same problem with the airlines, dif sizes but found the smaller ones for the airstones fits into
the larger ones from the AP kit so MacGyvered it.

It's a good question, I usually do a 2 week thing I learned from MIMed.
2 weeks in a solo then 2 weeks in a gal pot then into a 3-5 gal pots for another 2 weeks before the flip.
I was going to transpere to gal pots but measured them in the 2.2 gal pots and not much room left so not sure.

I will keep them in solo's for 3 wks and then transfer to the AP pots but won't start the res/bottom feed for another 2-3 wks.
I will put the AP 2.2 gal pots in pans and top feed for 2 wks, after they aclimate I will start the regular AP res/bottom feed
and put the pots back into their bottom feeding trays with only PH water in the res tank for a week.

I should scroll up and see how I did the last ones lol.
Change of plans:
I did and seen I was using trays on top of the AP pots but feeding them from the bottom
and it all seemed fine, so I think I will skip the one step and put them into the AP's after about
3 weeks in the solo cups and turn on the res tank with PH water to start them.
I think they will do alright and saves me a step in the process, so makes it easier and I like that.

Recieved my airbases today can be used with or without air and dont need clay pebbles.View attachment 1330631View attachment 1330632View attachment 1330633
I've changed my mind on what I'm putting in the new pots. I'm going to drop some seeds tonight. The plants I have now aren't aerated very well, I didn't have any Perlite and they went Straight into Promix HP, it only has 17 - 20% Perlite and they are already in 3 gallon pots so there's not really any room for clay balls or more soil.....

I'm thinking now I can pop 4 of my new seeds and prepare their media better. I can even get some Coco........I'm already invested in Clay balls & Perlite so until they are used up..(.if I live that long)....Big Bags I have enough for years now I think. I won't be getting those risers any time soon...lol......

I wonder about the Copper pot socks $12 each...do you have any issues with roots going past the copper shield they provide? and into the valve? I need to make up a $100 order to avoid the shipping. I'm at about $40 now, I was looking at an extra res tank & lid $35...+socks.....?
1 for a week of food 1 for a week of water? do you feed like that ? or 1/2 feed all the time? I'm still confused about that.

I use Botanicare nutrients and i feed every watering without problem but at way lower doses than stated on feed charts. I mix in 1 Tablespoon of epsum salts with every feeding 4-5 gallon mix. When in flower i still add grow nutrients at 5 mil per 4-5 gallons seems to keep everything green. I wiil try this in the autopots and watch for problems. My pots will be started from seed also no trans planting for me.

Looks good I'll add both into my order as well, I've been interested in a replacement for Flurolicious. It has kelp and is thick and gooey and It also has issues with ph up & down. the Bio worm has humic acids so I'll try it out.

Although I have socks now I used the copper shield the last 2 times and never had a problem (I put them in the bottom of the pot)
No roots even got close to passing it.
But I like the socks and am using both, inside copper and outside socks.

As far as nutrients I use Dyna-Gro products the last few grows, when I seen DB using them and have not been disappointed.
Work great and are very clean to use in the res tank.

I feed just like I do when I top feed after I start the nutes in the res tank, it gets fed every time I top off the tank.
Depending on where the plants are in the grow I feed them half the normal recomended dose until I see I can increase.
So PPM is 500 at first then increased as the plant gets aclimated and grows stronger.
I also mix in a 2 gal can
VEG
Wk 1
1/2 tsp Pro-Tekt
1 tsp Foilage Pro

Wk 2-4
1 tsp Pro-Tekt
1 tsp Foilage Pro

Flower
Wk 1
1 tsp Pro-Tekt, Foilage Pro, Bloom
1/4 tsp Mag Pro, Zyme
Wk 2-4
1 tsp Pro-Tekt, Mag Pro
1/2 tsp Foilage Pro, Zyme
2 tsp Bloom
Wk 5
1 tsp Pro-Tekt, Mag Pro
1/2 Zyme
2 tsjp Bloom
Wk 6
1 tsp Pro-Tekt
1/2 tsp Map Pro, Zyme
2 tsp Bloom
Wk 7-8
1 tsp Pro-Tekt, Bloom
1/2 tsp Mag Pro, Zyme
Of courst I will make adjustments as it goes.

The only time I put in PH water is when the PPM gets too high, to level it down, which is rare.

I dropped 4 seeds into spring water last night. 1 Sour Diesel , 1 Do Si Do, 1 QCBlue and by accident 1 Quebec Blast.....I was wanting to drop in another FruityOG and I messed up...fkin drugs...lol...

Its a nice smoke with big buds so once it was wet and its my last seed of them I'll go with it..... I was sorta thinking I'd make clones off this batch but I just can't clone everything it will get out of control too fast....

So many to choose from now, I was originally thinking 4 good strain run perpetual but with so much to try that seems like a dumb thing to do limiting myself to only 4......

Like a fat man at an unlimited buffet its hard to push back from the table......lol
