Actually I suggested he make this thread. He made this partly as a joke and partly to actually save people's threads. Regardless of the validity of your comments, they were taking over people's threads (not just d1d's, not just sponsored ones and even threads that weren't intended to be about LEDs.)This thread was an insult to those not coddling our dishonest sponser. Defending the good thread makes no sense. This wasnt for our benefit. It was to save the sponser. Pretty good idea from @1diesel1 but we never took it seriously.
and if there is any doubt about the quality or effacy of a lamp then the company is not following standard lighting industry procedures. Because i can buy a freaking desk lamp and know the spread exactly if its a reputable lighting company.
The “chinese” lamp companies rely on uneducated consumers to trust them. But it is obvious the regular customer does not. Or we wouldnt have 100’s of pages of threads proving their lies and bad quality.
argue that mofo! :-)

He (rightfully) was giving people like you and me the ability to argue about this without interrupting people's threads. And it seems like it's generally working.
U said Mars! Lmaodiscovering poor light spread with LEDs with my new Mars lights. It might be premature in saying this, but I’m not sure if LEDs are the answer to good grows. A combination of lights is probably gonna do it. Or side LED lighting. That or maybe some solexx greenhouse covering to diffuse the light across the space. I can try one plant with diffused light and the other just exposed regularly. Anyone ever tried diffusing the LED light before it reaches the plant?

Dave.... Dave’s not hereit disturbs me you know how to find this. ;-)
I’m pretty inexperienced with lighting - I basically am stumbling along. I had a few horrible blurple LEDs until just a few months ago and then I got an SF2000 for my 3 x 3.
The only reason I chose it was that it seemed to be a lot less $ than other LEDs.
It’s very very confusing for a newbie like me to understand what to buy. And I wish i could afford the more expensive stuff but I can’t.
My plants seem to like this light a lot. But I don’t know if a more expensive light would be even better ?

While I don't see your SF2000 as a bad purchase because it really is a decent light, I do have issues with them calling it a "2000" when it only pulls 201w from the wall. I think this is what is making problems for the newbie. They buy something thinking it's much more than it is only to be disappointed with their results because it didn't live up to the purchaser's expectation.
I'd agree with that ... there's nothing wrong with your purchase @LaVirtue but plenty wrong with the way it's been advertised.your light is fine for your space. And the company seems present so it should be easy to contact them for a problem.
We are arguing about them lying about their numbers and even their actual brand.
You want argument, here we go:
If you have a plug in watt meter please try this experiment and report your results.
plug in just the driver and report watts
plug driver into light board and report watts
then we can discuss how “watts from the wall per sqft” doesn’t mean shit but everyone seems to like to use it for pissing matches every day
huh? Who says watts from the wall? I want to know lamp output.
Look in every single LED discussion here and you will see “but what does it draw from the wall?” Somewhere in it.
This one may be the exception lol, after reading all 38 pages I may have missed it
ok. I have seen that. Honestly no one should have to check ppfd or watts when buying a light fixture. All that is supposed to be accurately listed. If not i dont trust the company.
Watts from the wall allow you to see if the lighting manufacturer is misrepresenting their product ... For example, the light produces 2000w worth of light but when you read the small print, it's only pulling 200w from the wall. It's not to be used as a gauge to judge a quality light. Only a starting point as to even consider buying it when a manufacturer is making such absurd claims. It's not a measurement of how much light it puts out.Look in every single LED discussion here and you will see “but what does it draw from the wall?” Somewhere in it.
