LEDgirl did need to be banned. That one unsubstantiated post on 420 warrants site owners like Logic to ban her for member safety. Unproven or not Logic did the right thing.

I dunno, I thought it was fishy that someone in the canna community popped out of the woodwork claiming to have pumped all this time/money/effort into R&D. When questioned about anything she got on the defensive, and when people pointed out that she is using the same shyte that the clowns on ebay were tossing into those ufos and whatnot she would delete posts/have them banned.

The fact that she did lie about her product and the results that she was getting from them, on top of silencing the doubters like it was ludicrous that someone questioned her should set you on the side of the majority with pitchforks and torches then.

Sure, you get good buds that are within 18 inches of the light.... unfortunately I don't grow a 6" thick canopy.

When she came out on icmag she certainly was claiming the 345 was equivalent to a 1000w and then when enough people called bs she dropped it down to a 600. Even that is laughable.

Not trying to change your mind but maybe you should take a step back and re-evaluate the situation.

Unfortunately there are bad people on the internet that are out to get more than they put in by lying, cheating and stealing. Most of us are not growing legally or within our limits. This makes a good amount of us criminals regardless of whether we should or shouldn't be characterized as such. I know there are a lot of "average guys that just like pot" on these sites but there are also a lot of career criminals amongst us.

These guys are the people we need to look out for as a community and you acting like this is the court of law where people are innocent until proven guilty us laughable. OJ killed Nicole and Goldman, MJ touched those kids, Jon Benet was killed by someone who lived in the home, and LEDgirl scammed anyone who purchased one of her lights.

They might work but they don't work as well as they are advertised to. People spent a lot of money on something that shouldn't have ever been available. The car forum guys kinda dropped the ball, I understand it was over 5 yrs ago and a lot has changed universally on forums because of the amount of fraud that started popping up on the net around that time. I remember reading about this on another forum while it was all going down years ago and was amazed then that someone was able to deceive so many people and amass that much money from a limited number of sites.

LEDS work if you want to do hardcore scrogs like Tobors where very little penetration is needed. until you can pull at least a pound of LEDs people will say they arent worth the money. Get an HPS light and grow some weed. stop getting to cute with your grow styles. Bossman is a BOSS at growing. that side by side he did prooved it. and he can definitely grow anyone who doubts that is an idiot.

Do I think my LED will give me what I can get out of a 600w. Well, No. Simple. But then I get from a single 600 what many would wish to get from a 1000. Around 28-32oz on average.

But I can certainly achieve over a gram a watt from the LED 345, easy, so in that respect it is directly comparable to a 600w. And a little more productive watt for watt than a 400w. And the quality is certainly up there.

I am sorry if these finding do not fit in with other peoples results. I can not help that.

LED lamps work great in veg and in flower you can really see significant results when paired with HID. I think the mixed spectrum really appeals to the plants photosynthesis. Bulb manufacturers are producing HID lamps with mixed spectrum now ie MH/HPS in 1 bulb, and the results speak for themselves. Would I buy LED lamps from LEDGirl's company, no, but there are many companies out there right now producing quality LED lights with 3 and 5 watt diodes.

Look at advanced nutrients for example. Regardless of what people say their products work and they work well. Do they spend too much money on advertising to promote the brand, I don't think so but others may. Fat Mike may be shady in some aspects but he is a good business man and he does sell quality products. The price is what people usually bitch about not the results. SO back on topic, advanced nutrients carry LED lights and they carry quality products like their badass ballasts, trimmers, drynets, etc. So why would a company like this who spends so much on advertising and brand recognition carry an inferior product? They wouldn't.

for instance if herb is getting 32ounces with a 6 hundred,(aprox 1.5 grams per watt.

It suffice to say a grower could also it 1.5 with an LED/ if the technogoly producers similar results on par with HID lights.

with the 345 watt unit, wouldnt you need to hit 517 grams to be as efficient as a 600 HID?

LED lights are nothing more than a tool. Depending on ones grow setup that tool may appeal or it may not.

Regardless, anyone else in here have a very high light sensitivity to LEDs? Truly, car headlights, led fixtures of all types, led flashlights, really give me a headache. For that reason I would never use em. I think the problems we're gonna see with LEDs will become much more apparent as they are used more in the next decade.

Maybe like with compact flourescents, which are a huge scam and waste of money. The boxes will always claim you save money by buying the bulbs even though they cost so much more, because they save so much energy. LOL. Firsthand experience shows me that these bulbs are often broke in the box, give off a poor spectrum of light, blow out long before their expected life.

And truly they are far far more dangerous to the environment than the light they are supposed to replace. Mercury in groundwater is a bad thing, lotsa extra co2 emissions is probably a good thing, so the choice should be clear.

ATobor is a lost cause apparently he has formed some sort of magical bond with this t-girl. I knew about the con a couple months ago, but since the only people using the lights seemed to be really happy harvesting 115 grams, I let them have their moment.

I want to be clear--I dig Tobor. I think he's straight up and a good person, and generally is good-intentioned. I just disagree with his stance on this person. Not even his stance on the LEDs because I have not used them for anything other than flashlights, and I've considered investing in Cree.

Also, as I've stated elsewhere, IF there are people growing both hermatypic (that means reef-building) and non-hermatypic photosynthetic organisms, i.e. corals, giant clams, anemones, with LED lighting, then there IS something to it. There are people doing exactly that.

Once you consider what is one of the biggest issues inherent with that endeavor of making a miniature coral reef--recreating (typically) noontime equatorial tropical sun as it passes through water--then you begin to appreciate that it's actually *not* all smoke and mirrors. Artificial light tends to lose an incredible amount of density and strength (someone's inverse square law, or somethin' like that) just passing through air! Think about how much energy is lost moving through water. (That's why red is the first color to go in water, how you can say generally a fish is a deepwater fish if it's red or orange, and why the water and sky are blue.)

And THAT seems to be, at this time, the problem with LED lighting for anything that requires any significant push from the red end of the spectrum. Easier to do with blue, not so easy with red.

Yet SPS (small polyp stony) corals, one of the more difficult groups of organisms to work with, are being grown with LEDs. People are *burning* their animals with certain kinds of spotlights just like they have done with MH lighting, and that is significant, and cannot be poo-pooed. I like saying that, poo-pooed.

But the point of this thread isn't to discuss yet again the validity of LED lighting in the growing scene, it is about this specific person. So, I dig where Tobor's coming from there. I disagree with him about this person.

If some newb was to read tobor or herbalizers threads even today, they might even go out and buy one of these lights, now if cameron goes to jail, you think these people will still get their lights?
