No words offend me. I just have a history of advocacy with an audience that didn't like to hear the naughties , unless it comes to a Kid Rock meme then they just gotta deal with it lol.

Oh wait! I actually used the clean version of the meme.

Not sure if I would be able to do a good enough tutorial video to help anybody anymore than the plethora of videos and information on the internet, but I can provide some advice. This will be my 15th year growing in some capacity and my 2nd as a professional indoor cultivator. I've been growing in organic soil for most of that time, over the last year or so I've switched to 100% OMRI listed soiless mix, Sunshine Advanced Grower's Mix #4 (I think a better product than anything ProMix has to offer).

The most important aspects of growing cannabis indoors is genetics, getting the ideal environment consistent, and proper watering habits, in that order imo. There are a lot of nutrients that will grow you good high quality cannabis. Just follow the charts the manufacturer provides. Dialing in nutrients is down the road as you gain more experience as a grower. Keep it as simple as possible in the beginning. Spend more time and money getting proper HVAC, fans, and dehumidifier(s)

You can only grow the plants as well as their genetic potential allows. The proper environment allows them to thrive throughout the entire life cycle, and providing the proper amount of water and oxygen to the root zone will maximize their potential. In my experience veg plants seem to like it warmer (78-85°, RH 60%) and flower plants seem to like it a bit cooler (72-78°, RH 40-50%). Try and get night temps 10-15° cooler the best you can. I would highly recommend taking notes to help with watering practices. We all forget stuff and the different stages of growth will require different watering practices depending on your medium (hydro just has to worry about the res).

One product that I would recommend for any nutrient regimine is monosilicic acid. I think it's the most beneficial product I use. It helps strengthen the stem cell walls for bigger, tougher, more productive plants. Added benefit is it significantly helps fight PM. The science says it's a non essential element needed for growth, but it sure does help a lot. A lot of nutrient lines offer a silica product, but I don't think there's any that offer one with monosilicic acid as the main ingredient. Any silica is better than none, but monosilicic acid is the most plant available form.

Last, but certainly not least, if you want to grow high quality dense cannabis, you need to get high quality lights. The spectrum of light is important to pay attention to. Veg plants need mostly blue light and flower plants need mostly red light. Always keep learning and have fun growing!

Maybe the biggest tip to newbies is that we know so little about plants scientifically that we are all learning together, including the experts, BUT there are levels to this growing stuff. Take it one step at a time, I think 5 plus years of successful grows is a decent amount of experience. What would you guys deem as appropriate experience level to be a knowledgeable grower? If you answered already I have bad bad ADD so I never go through a whole thread ✌

Not really sure what the topic is anymore but my suggestion for newbie growers who want to go organic is:

1 bag of ocean forest fox farm soil
1 5 gallon pot
1 small bag of dr earth flower girl

If you can drink your tap water then it’s good to go. Everything else is unnecessary.

This is really similar to my simple soil technique, doesn't get much easier. No fancy bottles of this, that and the other, no unicorn piss, no a, b and c, no cal mag, no cartoon characters, no magic leprechaun spooge, just a few simple ingredients with proven results..

Excellent advice it is! Nice and simple. If you cant/don't want to do any tutorials you can always back us! That's what this is about also, tutorials from beginner to advanced with the backing of experienced growers.

The many tutorials out there arnt good or they're made to promote products. Many are good don't get me wrong.

Genetics...I classify them in the lighting department. Lotsa shenanigans going on. I spend a lot of time nowadays looking for legit stuff. It used to be easy. There are very popular seed sellers fleecing the market with good stuff too. I'm expecting a major shift comming.

I'd like to talk about Si someday in it's own thread. I know a little about it but not enough. Hard to find details about some stuff.

I think if someone can finish a grow  confidently then they're experienced. Time to up the load and fine tune future grows. An 'expert' (using that term lightly fo sho!) to me is someone that gives their plants little attention and still grows successfully. More like a hands off grower.

I learn stuff all the time then I go research or test if I can. Kinda like a taste test, pass/fail. I've bought and tested products so I can give my personal approval if someone asks. I usually kick everything to the curb, as trends pass I say 'I told you so!' Anyone remember when Brovida packs sold like hotcakes? Multi zillion dollar companies ordered pallets full and use them to this day. Too bad I haaate the owners of the company I'm talking about (and currently watching their company fail epically) or I'd offer to come in and save them. I ain't working for connected criminals for one and 65k a year ain't nearly enough to entice me to be their 'Master Grower' lol.

This is kinda exactly what I'm saying we need.

I know some organic guys that are hands off with their grows. Stick a meter in the soil and water it with plain tap water. Cake!

I bought a guys soil once. About a brick size. He told me how to mix it into generic potting soil and water when needed. I did exactly that and grew a beautiful lemon plant under a 150w HPS. If I would have givin that sucker a good enviroment under better lights it would have been even better! I enjoyed that experience. The plant was neglected too.

And that's your Tutorial right? Just add in a simple enviroment guideline and 'what you need' as far as special equipment for dirt and wallah!

Got me thinking, I could use your instructions to document a grow...I'd grow it like I grew the lemon plant. Set it and forget it. Even a new grower couldn't mess that up.

Last night I ran across a conversation. Someone asked 'why don't you grow' publically.

The very first reply was 'I tried but information was to complicated....' Hold on, let me see if I can find the exact quote...

Person #1 - I want to but every time I start to read up on it get too overwhelmed by the massive amount of information online.

Person #2 Same. I know how lame this sounds, but I feel like it would take a pretty serious time investment to read/study the guides available online enough to get started. While I know I'm capable of following instructions, some of the material I've seen is a bit intimidating, not to mention some of the posts where people are trying to diagnose problems they're having with a plant.

We can change that! Together! I cant do it myself but if we can back each other people can trust us. Most of yall don't know these conversations are happening. Not to even mention the bad information.

Boveda packs are great if you know how to use them, people who don't know what they are doing ended up ruining their bud. I can keep bud shelf stable for a very very long time with them. It's just understanding bud moisture and water acitivity in the bud. I am far from hands off. Different people have different styles, I also know people who can grow successfuly but still suck. Middling weed is easy to grow, the top tier is much more difficult. A good read is teaming with microbes to start understanding soil health better.

Hi,
A bit confused... Why so many seasoned growers recommend soil / growing in soil. For indoor grows, I switched to hydro methods. I don't get why all the talk on soil grows. For hydro, I've tried eb and flow, dwc, and now a variation of dutch bucket. I would even consider hydro for outside (even though it can be tricky with the elements).

If this is the forum for experienced, I'm wondering why Hydro is not a significant topic of discussions.

Best regards

I’ve ran soil for 25 years. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Also, a preference. It’s nice to have bi products to use out in my garden.
Hydro, I live in the damned swamp.
Running dro is tempting fate here.
Dro is awesome. So is soil. It’s really about what suits your particular needs.

I don't even get into anything after harvest. To me that's personal in a way of a specialized skill i guess. Either people did their own personal trials or they followed someone else's modern updated guide. Because as we all know, we didnt figure out how to dry weed until 2015. :snickers: Not all of my harvests turn out great, some are absolute doodoo and they go straight to the fire pit lol like a boss so it don't hurt so bad. There's only ONE way I know how to cure my problem, it just doesn't fit my style. Buts that's all I'm going to say about that.

Yo! One of my favorite guys from back in the day, I haven't heard about him in years. I used to loath his way of growing. It was like a hot mess but than man would put out some very good stuff. He's the only guy I know of that can have the worst looking plants that put out the best weed. Just thinking about it makes me cringe but I got a lotta respect for him.

This is mainly a 100% beginners guide idea. The simplist and cheapest way to get from seed to harvest, hydro has nithong To do with experience it’s just a personal choice, I could buy a setup and choose to run hydro first as a beginner. Wouldn’t mean I’m doing anything more expertly than I could with soil on my first run and a complete beginner… you’d be just as clueless to any aspect of it, that’s why we have this topic going. some choose hydro first some choose soil, but if you look back there was talk about separate topics for beginners on all types of setups separately, hydro / soilless / organic / no till, etc, nobody will be left out! this forum has a wide range of growers, to each their own preference. The wide range of experience in different situations and mediums is is what makes the farm a great resource

Now Dutch bucket, I’ve been looking into that for my garden was thinking of running some maters or peppers in some, I saw a pretty sick 50x 5 gallon bucket setup that did hella production

I'll confront this immediatly!

Is there something more behind your attacks? Do you know me? You sure attacked me awfully quick when I joined. I do have haters that sprawl all over the internat and they do exactly what you're doing right now. Blast me with some twisted plot created by yourself to make me look bad.

I'm glad tho. I can talk about myself.

If you're not a troll...I had a hard time typing that...let me calm your feels.

Firstly, I cant have pronouns? If I can't then no one can or everyone is mocking...oh, pronouns are exclusive to LGBTQ+? Only gay people can use pronouns?

Do you know me? What if I am gay? Now wut? I've made  zero mention of my sexuality anywhere so...maybe  youre attacking the LGBTQ+ community. Again, now wut? Bigot!

But no. Im just a dude. I only mess with girls so you're not a bigo...oh wait! You are a bigot, against straight people. It is a two way street afterall.

I have personal laws I follow. One of them is to judge character. I ain't got the time or cares to give about anything else. For example, if a flaming hot gay guy full of flamboyancy and a straight guy that looks and acts just like me walked into my bar. Gay guy just bes himself enjoying the night, straight guy complains to me. Next day both show up for a job. Guess who ain't getting the job? I ain't got time to be bothered with hate nor can I be influenced. Live and let live for best results.

I'm a friendly funny guy, I get around. I've had jobs that exposed me to every walk of life. I've lived in the inner city, I've lived in upper class neighborhoods. I know good people from all walks of life. I've had bosses and friends...gay people are everywhere and I get along with them all. I defend everyone.

To me hating someone for who they are is just dumb, truly ignorant. Be a little smarter, it's elementry to hate.

My pronouns stand, I am The She It!

I still can't see the mockery. If I manufacture it I can. You're manufacturing hate between us, attacking someone you could consider an ally. You're barking up the wrong tree bud.
