I'm in Oklahoma. This plant was sprouted in mid March and in the ground April 23rd. It's big but it is pretty much 100% indica, Pine Tar Kush. I even found a mature seed in it today! I'm hoping I have a really early producer, and yes, I pollinated it!

I looked and you're still at 14 hours light. I'm just starting to see the first signs of flower here in CA.

I was thinking they were landrace, they looked so skinny.

I had some storm damage a couple weeks ago, but we seem to be back on track. Propped and tied up all the damaged limbs and tied up the rest to add some structure. Starting to drink a lot more over the last two weeks. Looking forward to seeing them start to flower.

Was reading about this, and how we were taught about sativa and indica is kinda wrong. Many afghani plants share a short leaf valley bushy look we consider indica. But they also have a thin leaf taller plant that grows more on the highlands. The pine tar kush I believe is a Pakistani from Tom hill, and if you look at the origins of og kush thread, they have some pics of her there.

I realize that. Some indicas finish really fast, regardless. And of course, there's ruderalis. I think it is very strain dependent. This is what one plant is doing in my garden this year. I think there is so much to learn about cultivating this plant, in it's many expressions.

Have you read DJ Shorts' book? Leaf width can vary greatly and isn't a total predictor of indica or sativa. I grew this strain last year and this seems identical to it. Super pine aroma, sticky, resin factory. I'm looking at the very compact plant growth and bushy expression.

Yes! This is Tom Hill's genetics, according to the very reliable source who supplied them to me!

I'm not saying its not..it just looks nothing like what I've seen other ppl grow grow from that strain is all.

The ones I've seen look way more like this.

However it doesn't really matter. You're doing a great job and they look happy

I have much skinnier leafed plants in the garden, all with Pine Tar Kush as the father plant. And PTK is a land race! THis book, by the guy who was breeding cannabis from the beginning, really is informative!

I can't see your screen shot. There is so much variability, especially phenotypes! I go by my nose and I can open the jars of last year's PTK, and the smell is identical, as is most of the appearance. My source for this strain has been growing it for about 15 years, I trust him. There are so many expressions of these plants, these strains, most of us haven't seen yet, because there are so many genetic possibilities.

this one's on my bucket list! Wanna make my own triangle, and hear this one is in it. And the word is, potency of pine tar is pretty high. Smoke report, when she's done!!! She looks awesome!!
